I love this Noyan! Great footage, you're such a superhero. Thank you for showing us what it's like and I'm glad you got your 2nd vac now :) Look forward to seeing more!
This was such a great vlog, Noyan! Really interesting to see what your day is like and how you make sure to squeeze in an exercise in the morning. Also, love that yellow velvet chair 0:24, it's super pretty!
I'm a GP too and I havent done a home visit in the last 6 months. So glad that we have a frailty team who does all of that. Cant imagine doing 2 3 visits a day.
Lucky you, some practices are well equipped with a designated visiting team. Although it’s not very often to get more than 2 visits but when it does, it’s pretty manic!
Hey doc I hope you could make a video about ur different streams of income if u would like to share with us. I am a medical student and I would love to hear ur point of view about different streams of income especially in the UK since doctors r unfortunately underpaid
I read somewhere that a typical GP can have 1700 to 2000 patients on there books. If you were in a situation where only had 400 patients on your books and most patients were 18 to 55 years old, presumably you would have plenty of free time on your hands . In that hypothetical situation, what would you do with your free time in terms of additional support to your 400 patients. (such as organising diet plans, reviewing genetics, mental health reviews, monitoring vitamin levels or anything else to optimise the health of the patient ? ( i recently came across the story of the ancient Chinese doctor that was only paid when his patients were healthy; with the incentive of optimising patient health I wondered what the doctor was doing to ensure his patients kept as healthy as possible.). All the best !
Good Day :) Big thanks to this video. As an IMG, I hope I would be as successful as like you (also, having the work-life balance like running). I would like to inquire if the cases you handle there in the UK as a GP involves cutting-specialty skills since to be honest, I'm not that good when it comes to skills as compared to theoretical knowledge. Hoping for your response ASAP and take care always!
When I had my first dose of my COVID-19 vaccine (Pfizer/BioNTech), the injection itself wasn't painful. But some time later, it was very painful. Felt as though I'd received a stab wound in my upper arm. But it was better the next day. Second dose, similar experience, but not quite as bad as the first time.
Hi,im trying to get life insurance,my question is what information do life insurance companys ask uk GP,s on a person who has died?ive an issue on my file thats not life threatening, but little is known about it,and insurance companys can perceive what thay want and i may not get paid out if i dont disclose it.if i do disclose it my priemium will go up.all for an issue thats not a risk to my health?
Came here to see, how GPs work in the UK. I assume, that the pandemic altered your daily work significantly, otherwise I had the impression, that GPs don't really have that much real contact to patients^^
Hi, I'm James John from Liverpool. I run a small IT company based there. I'm doing some outsourcing jobs currently and am looking for some GP admin job outsourcing. Do you know any GPs? If so, please introduce me to them. Thanks, James.
I loved his video! Will a GP in the Uk write Robinul for excessive sweating? I made my first appointment for sweating. In the USA they give Robinul for sweating.
Nice vlog! It seems a big chunk of your day just goes in responding to patients messages. How often do you get the same questions and have to reply to a very similar answer?
Thanks man. It's not really patient messages, its digital consultation to reduce face to face contact since the pandemic. There is wide variety of medical problems, don't really get the same questions that often.
Hy, do you get some free weekends as a family dr? i just started my internship and i am working about 120 hours per week here in my country and it is starting to make me apreciate more the time i spend with my family because i have not been able to be with them for a while.
@@NoyanMuini thanks so much sir, I am a final year medical student in Egypt planning on being a GP trainee asap, little worried about the work hours stress that I'm literally escaping here in Egypt
Yes some universities in the UK offer an extra foundation year on top of your 5-6 years of medical school to study science subjects before starting medical school. This is designed for students with no science background.

In all areas of medicine you deal with people to varying degrees. If you want to minimise patient contact, Radiology and Pathology area specialties to consider.
I haven't got a single positive thing to say about my own GPs and surgery. If you heard my story you'd be disgusted...one would hope. For better service, I wish there'd be more GP surgeries but taking on less registered patients. I've been going to the same place for almost 20 years and every day I speak to someone (even the unkind, rude receptionists) it's like they have amnesia and are meeting me for the very first time. I cannot tell you how exhausting it is to keep repeating complicated health issues and trying to go through detailed, chronological health history over and over and over and over again. All in five minutes. With a total stranger. Again. Something has to change. Both for overworked doctors caught in an increasingly appalling system rife with communication problems and for patients who just want to be HEARD-- and helped.

What is the most challenging part of being a GP?
Dealing with uncooperative and unreasonable patients.
How long does it take of school years to become one
17 years minimum in the UK (5 years high school, 2 years college, 5 years medical school, 2 years foundation training, 3 years GP training)

Ethiopian GPs make 150 USD per month. Be thankful for all u have

Nice Video,
do you have a high salary?
Good
Do GP's still have the best work-life balance among specialties? Or is this no longer true?
Depends what you mean by work life balance, if you mean 9-5 job then no GP isn’t a 9-5 job.

Got to say, if I was a Doctor, I would 100% leave for Australia, better quality of life, more sunshine, and double the money, it's a no brainer.
