There is one thing I don't understand about the armour and the WH40K world. In many games and videos the Space Marines get quite easily killed by melee weapons, even if they are supposed to be incredibly strong. Say that you compare to a real world tank: it doesn't matter how sharp any melee weapon is, you need an explosive force to penetrate its armour. The Space Marine armour is supposed to be even stronger than our tanks so I can't buy that an ork or a tyranid is able to kill a marine in melee unless they hit a gap or an exposed body part.
Correction, at 4:24, that is not black carapace, that is called glove suit, skin suit, muscular suit, etc. That suit is basically enhanced Space Marines power while also completely seal off his body from the environment. The Black carapace, however, it is the thing under they skins, 1:04, as you can see, they bare skin have multiple holes, these holes is black carapace actually.
Sheeeesh that's really something! Just imagine being a space marine just starting out on your first mission, went threw all that augmentation just to get killed in one shot or blow 😂
The best part is that the armor is just repurposed mining armor from the drkage of technology. That's how advanced humans were. At one point, the blueprint for a true battle armor from the drk age of technology was found. It was as thin as a cloth and stronger than spacemarine armor. But the tools and technology needed to make one were so beyond the capabilities of the tech priests that they gave up on trying to make it.
Ideally, an Astartes would always be followed by a number of chapter serfs that would carry extra ammo and potentially other essentials. Though, this tends to only really be the case when on defensive assignments. While I don't know that it's otherwise really ever been stated in any canon source, my guess would be that the belt area of the armor has a host of mag clamps that allows the Marine to carry extra ammo, grenades, or other miscellaneous items. Of course, even carrying a few extra magazines is not a lot of ammo, but Space Marines are, at a base level, superb marksmen. If you watch the Astartes videos you can see that the Marines do not waste shots. You can figure that each Marine used 1 mag until reaching the psykers, and then one or two mags to defeat the psykers, possibly followed by one more mag loaded after defeating the psykers. This points to the idea that none of the Marines used more than 4 magazines to clear a ship and secure their objective, and I think that's the rule, rather than the exception, when it comes to Space Marine operations.
@@AlindBack Yeah since i think i read somewhere every bullet is blessed by a tech priest it makes sense that full auto spray and pray isn't an Astartes tactic.
