Love that you include exercises. I've been working alot with the hexatonic scale recently. I practice by moving a major 7(omit 5) voicing up a (hexatonic scale) degree. It switches between minor and maj7 but sounds amazing when you start the left hand at a different part of the scale, or have it play an entirely diff hexatonic scale.
All I want to say right now is: Ooooh, so that's where that sound comes from...
