Great recording by Paul Procopolis! Hehe
I love all his recordings, whatever the period. Brilliant playing!

Fantastic playing and very"live"-leaving in the slight smudge or missed bass. The sheer wildness is gripping. On the other hand, some less-equipped pianists have probably built up the climax to more shattering effect. The recording, even tho limited in dynamic range, sounds remarkably good, especially for whatever we were asked to pay at that time(10s/6d?).The penultimate foto is the first i saw of SergioF. A devilishly handsome type!Pity that you, sir, cannot claim to be the phantom pianist, for once!

Forgot tomb hench-un: excellent thematic choice, galloping horse, a good way to Stirrup excitement, -accelerating, then a whole troop.... definitely the Mane theme and obviously not much Canter-be-lay (or le-Bay,if you wish to know a Bit Mare),needing to rein in at finish. This Ascot lots of qualities; 'oof i just had to trot that out.
