    I was searching one sentence "how you doing" and I found your lesson. I just watched your one lesson and I decided to learn Arabic. The way you teach is fantabulous. Wish me all the best to learn Arabic. And thank you very much.

    Thank you very much for all the dialect insights you've shown us on this crash course; I started studying arabic out of keeping my palestinian granny memory alive 25 years ago. She died when I was a child of 8. I get by in fusha quite well; I grasped a bit of dariyah in Morocco as well. But I hadn't had a chance to get acquainted with 'ammiye yet. Thanks again for all your good vibes and mediterranean spirit .

      that's only one of the meanings of the word

    • @hannayaklin1233

      @@AysarAburrub Are you saying that the meaning is more nuanced than just "rude"? (If so, could you please explain so that I understand better.) Or are you saying that there are other completely separate meanings for the word? If you could provide a few examples that might help.

    • @AysarAburrub
      @AysarAburrub 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@hannayaklin1233 Eeb is more nuanced than just pure rudeness, and it's a more encompassing term that touches on the topics of morality and social/cultural taboos. For example, a woman wearing skimpy clothes is Eeb because it's socially unacceptable, not because the woman is being "rude" necessarily. The Arabic word for "rude" is وقح waqeH in Standard Arabic, or we'eH in Shami Arabic ... rudeness is only one type of socially unacceptable behavior, so it's goes under the big umbrella of Eeb
