  • In this LEGO zoo update, I start working on the common area by building a pond with a bridge, adding some trees, and doing some tile work. In addition to getting this all done, I discuss what comes next.

    You should make the walkways tan colored tiles, it would contrast greatly, have a jungle vibe, and also match the habitats.

    For bathrooms, you could build doorways out a bit from the mountain between the aviary and bear exhibit. Then it would look like you have them built into the mountain, but would save the space of a full interior.

    Don’t forget you can add some flowers for a bit of colour in some spots. Double stack the stem parts so you have 6 stems instead of 3. Red, pink, yellow would really stand out.
    Could also add some light posts along the paths. The white ones would add some contrast to all the grey and would bring the white of the aquarium to other areas so the white isn’t all just in one area. Oh and a couple garbage cans. No one likes litter.

    It’s looking really good. Ideas for adding to your open spaces in the zoo. Food vendors and picnic tables. And maybe a kids playground/splash area. You could combine that idea, a waterfall coming from the rock edge between the bird and bear area and a shallow stream running from it through a picnic area for kids to play in and then some food stalls? It’s a pretty big area. You could use tan bricks/plates in the area too.

      I was going to comment much the same. At least 4 picnic tables (w/lots of minifigs with food) and 2 or 3 food vendors

    Use the earth blue to go into the aquarium. You should also add some flamingos in the center pond that will add some color to the middle as well

    The large open space lends itself to a custom built information kiosk, exactly like the design in Roller Coaster Tycoon. 4 counters that could sell maps, umbrellas, teddy’s and T-shirts. Would also be a great nod to an epic game.

    I think I would keep the stone bridge, but maybe replace the tiles on the walkway from light to dark gray, that will make it look more like the pathway around it. Or you can change it to blue if you decide to change the dark gray to blue when you get those tiles.

    In natural themed zoos the paths to different locations breakaway, 8:50 from the entrance often as walking trails through dense woods.

  • @MayoHosko
    @MayoHosko ปีที่แล้ว

    Definitely use dark blue tiles near the steps up to the aquarium. If you have any azure, turquoise, medium blue or light blue tiles that’d look good near the aviary. I’d put any light tan tiles outside concession stands

  • @cyberi4a
    @cyberi4a ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The side of the pond with the yellow bench, you could tile that area and add a couple of kiosks backed up to the ramp and that area can be a place to sit and eat and rest.
    Don't take up space for restrooms, just pretend restrooms are in the aquarium and people use those.

  • @anastasiapluwak
    @anastasiapluwak ปีที่แล้ว

    looks amazing so far! i love it, i have a few opinions about some changes however, I wouldn't do 2 trees near the bench but only 1 on each bench, the other side of the bench could have some flowers etc.. and you could add some tan paths instead of gray. I would suggest having one big tree (almost like animal kingdom), otherwise it looks crowded and looks less like a zoo and more like a forest. keep up the AMAZING work!

    • @anastasiapluwak
      @anastasiapluwak ปีที่แล้ว

      such as tile off with gray as you are doing, but within that have a tan path, otherwise the rocky gray is unnoticeable as its the same colour as the floor, so different definition and colours

    Is there no way you could swap the Polar Bear enclosure with the Penguins at the back? I fear if you make the Polar Bear one even bigger it'll obscure the enclosure at the back and leave a dark corner of the zoo, but if you swapped them the penguin enclosure doesn't take up much space and would leave a wide walkway down to the bears, who could have as much space as they need up against that back wall.
    Just a thought though! Probably be a pain to execute xD
