Tony Northrup, winner of the 2018 mannequin challenge 😁
This proves it, Tony is a robot!
Just press "pause" and there is no blur on Tony, even with 8min exposure.
Chelsea probably has a remote for him
I like how Tony looks like a cult leader and I have the slow unsettling hands of a murderous sloth.
20/20 Tony Northrup cult leader have you seen this man !!!!!
Chelsea in before trolls
With the shirt buttoned to the top and that whacko look on his face, I think Netflix maybe recruiting Tony as one of the subjects for Mindhunter season 2😳
instaBlaster...
"How scared should I be?"
" Uh, Just be normal"
"... I'm trying to do that my whole life"
Welcome to the club, Tony.
"Don't shake the baby" -Tony
Tony's just stoked to be there
Absolutly... :D
I've never seen a couple with such a perfect chemistry. Tony is the smooth lecturer, who I could listen to all day. Chelsea is that cool teacher who does fun hands on stuff. Put em together and you get a perfect pair. Luv u guys!
I love the way you, Tony and Chelsea interact with each other. Apart from the good photography tips a good close loving family absolutely fantastic. I'm 67 adore my wife we have a good life and rarely do I see such goodness and homeliness elsewhere
Awesome guys! Your videos are my favorite. I relate to you two more than any other photog channel. You are always helpful and informative. Thank you.
Thanks!! simple and straightforward explanation of this technique, I'm having tonnes of fun with it
Hey Chelsea, thank you so much for putting so much love in how you made your video ! It truly makes it a keeper.
Tony Stillthrup
This was great! I love long exposure photography and I am always looking for something new to do!
Love it! Great results and a really fun video from you all.
so excited for every new content from you guys! Hope to get "Art and Science of Photography" soon :)
These are great ideas Tony & Chelsea. I'm going to be getting my Creep on soon.!
The shot where Tony blinked was amazing! Thanks for making this video :)
Really interesting guys. I love the effects. You're only limited by your imagination.
This is so creative, can't wait to try it
What a great idea. I love the "creepy" shots LOL Thanks for sharing :)
I love this quick tip tutorials. Technique is not that hard for me to grasp but this idea is great fuel for more ideas. More of these please :)
great vid guys. your chemistry is always lovely to see. a great project to try with my wife...
You explain so good the technique, thank you.
You guys are great... I see most of your videos... You both are really good explaining things...!! Lovely n Great couple indeed..!! Best of luck for all the hard work you guys putin to make videos and enlighten us with lots of information and fun stuff... Ya.! 👍
Again, Thank you guys!! Appreciate it.!😊😊
Love your chemistry. Your videos are so inspiring and fun to watch. I am just a newbie photographer and your videos and books are my top lessons. Keep it up. Love from Bangladesh 😁
Enjoyable, Cool, and Innovate--using long exposure for portraits. Thanks.
Looks like a fun project with some neat effects!
Superb ma'am and sir I always follow the way you teach.
I was reminded of a Seinfeld episode about 'hand models' when you said you were a hand dancer.
Cool video! Thanks!
Very Interesting. Opens up a new concept in long exposure photography
Where's Tony? Didn't see him in this video. Strange..
This is the thing I actually want in my life....Two creative people creating nice video's about photography....I'm also a photographer...And I want this.....Nice video by the way...keep up the good work guys....
Love it! Thanks for the lesson
So awesome. Thanks for sharing.
Very fun stuff! Thanks!
Love you two.
Excellent, very good, thanks!!
Laughed through most of this. Fun! Thanks
YES, thanks gonna practice this today
creative! I love it and I will try it! My boyfried has no idea what is waiting for him!!! :))))
Wow Chelsea, brilliant idea ! I am going for a night photography trip tomorrow in my small town, Deoghar, State-Jharkhand , in India and I just got this idea at right time. Hope I can experiment this outdoor too ? Watching Tony and you is always so nice and learning !
That's really cool... I'm gonna try this tommorow.
This was so helpful thank uuu
Thanks Chelsea, that was a fun exercise which gave me some new creepy ideas. Instead of hands have a creepy mask or animal ghost appear. Once again thanks
Noah
Tony can be perfectly still from the shoulders up, but down below, I bet its like a roller disco down there. Inspiring video, thanks.
Tony you are so patient 😁
Thanks for sharing & educating us. I would like to add that similar results can be achieved with couple of other methods I know. First being Multiple exposure mode. Although hands may not look in motion. In one more technic one can use flash in rear curtain sync. This will freeze last frame & picture will look sharper even if Tony would have moved little
You guys are awesome! Chelsea always has fun!
Tony - dude! You a really good at being Mr. Creepy Statue. LOL
We want more vids with/of Chelsea! Get her to model some more!
Thank you
Thank you!
That was cool. Im going to do some of these.
Interesting suject and Demo. Thank You.
Very cool, I like this project because it is about creative photography and not gear...
Hi thanks for sharing, do you know any kids books for photography ? Or can you guys make one for younger kids interested in photography.
Tony, I am not making fun. Your Reactions were perfect to just watch the video. I would make this a character for your funny video's too. In perfection to you doing this, Chelsea actions, funny ,but unknown actions work just as well. Great Video's!
Trying this tonight!
*Tony should do a try not to move challenge* and very creative video.
Cool idea
Very cool. Mortal Kombat...classic.
Really really good idea I got to say :)
Nice video...Tony´s face says it all... lol
Serious question... why is Tony such a savage?
Kinda fun. Nice vid!
You guys are a great couple.
Looks fun
Awwwwsome!
Thanks
Tony is hilarious!
Awesome
poor tony lol i love you guys
Try Speed lights on strobe or remotely triggered or may be more than one with gels .... . now iam inspired
Making creepy fun!
You don't have to be still anymore!
Tony - I don't really wanna move 😂🤣
great tips thanks
Awesome! Reminds me of Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon in the mirror scene:-)
Is there any app or hack to do this with non linear bracketing and image stacking (ie lit up at a very fast shutter speed to get base image, then kill the lights and expose for a few seconds to get the ghosting)? A way where you're not quite as reliant on the main subject's not moving?
that's not the only modeling tony can do! he can hold cheese too!
Fun video - Bonus points for the Raiden reference. :-D
Tony is so chill... Lol
Your idea Chelsea... ? I like it... :D
Your are creative, Chelsea 👏. When you move your hands slowly Tony looks like he has a halo.
would a flash help? like freeze the subject and keep it sharp and in focus like at the beginning of the long exposure and then have the hands move about afterwards? i guess the problem would be if the subject moves too much compared to the initial image with the flash...
I like this video
opinion about the new 180-400?
Chelsea really love it right? Great videos, :)
i ❤ yous guys.
This would be good with props like a knife or a candle or perhaps a flashlight for light painting. How would a white background work for more angelic theming?
1:22 Tony face is like "What the hell i´m doing!"
I'm super impressed with Chelsea for knowing who Raiden is. :) You rule, Chelsea.
Gee, I'm glad Tony's okay. That picture I saw in Instagram made me think some bad person was choking him! ;0))) This was fun! Thanks, Ill give this a try myself!
Is there a way to pop a flash real quick to freeze tony. Than come in later and do the hand stuff?
Kyle Medina yea introducing a flash would give a different look so we decided to show one method in this video.
We can do another vid using flash to freeze
Might be a cool way to do product ads as well, using "hands" around products or other combos.
Would be good for Halloween 🎃
Hi and thanks for that. A quick question please, did you use solid light or flash, and how bright was it? Thanks in advance
Just continuous light.
He's like a bobblehead, so still, yet his head moves when you shake it
When it comes to posing, Tony is the man... nequin
do you have the camera setting set at "Portrait"?
Tony looks like he does when he visits Oklahoma.... ;-)
What effects can be achieved with a pen light for a light painting ?
Is external flash required by any chance?
I used to do something similar accidentally with my brownie camera when I'd forget to crank the film. Lol.
