- The elusive graffiti artist known as Banksy plans to spend the month of October making New York City his canvas. Elaine Quijano reports on the anonymous phenomenon who specializes in defacing public and private property, and in the process, turns it into pricey art.

Funny thing that in NYC, there has been Graffiti art since 70´s. When Banksy comes to make some great street art, people get horrors like it´s a new and dangreous thing. Legal or Illegal that is not the issue here.

As for “team robbo”, I do like the freehanded style that is closer to roots of graffiti but there is a place for the stencil users, but I’m a bit more old school, 4 elements, golden age type of guy.

Very nice retort. No real substance to it but I like it. The personal attack on my intelligence was a nice touch. You really have no idea of my knowledge on the topic of Banksy’s art or the influence of a guy that used stencils to paint rats and political themed graffiti/street art around Paris back in the day (Blek). Look, I don’t dislike Banksy but I do find his popularity fascinating. It’s good that Blek didn’t copyright his work.

@CBS's news channel I didn’t expect to find the wide birth of “street art” history you possess. When you actually look at the similarities between the two artists and the frequency of the imitation I just can’t buy that its happenstance (to be discovered later).
I do like the theory that Banksy is Blek but I doubt it.

every banksy video has 2 kinds of people. people like you, who think they've uncovered something and the other half spamming "team robbo/king robbo" and yes, these people did the 1min google search and know everyone thinks they know something
