Story of Dentalkart's Founders - Dr. Vikas Agarwal and Sandeep Aggarwal

This video was recorded and prepared by renowned Dental Surgeon Dr. Rohit Sharma who wanted to know the story behind Dentalkart. Dr. Rohit interviewed Dr. Vikas Agarwal who is the Founder & Director of World’s leading dental supply online platform Dentalkart.
When asked what led to the beginning of Dentalkart, Dr. Vikas says, “coming from a business family background, I too had a business acumen and wanted to utilize my skills in the same way. Having an inclination towards dentistry I did my BDS from MAMC and started my dental practice. Wanted to combine my skill and passion together to create a business model around dental industry. I noticed that several fellow dentists who are placed in smaller cities, struggle for dental material and products so I thought of creating a model wherein all dental needs can be received easily at doorstep.”
After sharing the primary objective of laying the foundation of Dentalkart and its vision, Dr. Vikas was asked about his education, family and work-life balance, different milestones at Dentalkart, challenges faced so far, and several other aspects to his journey. Dr. Vikas Aggarwal has been passionate about acquiring skills. Education started with dental sciences but have worked on business management and analytical skills. Inspiration came from successful entrepreneurs, business conferences, disciplined regimen, self-speculation and self-education.
Dr. Vikas says that Dentalkart website has entire range of dental supplies including - general consumables like gloves, masks, drapes, disinfectants etc; diagnostic, restorative and surgical instruments; equipment like ultrasonic scaler, rvg sensor, xray machines, curing lights, dental compressor, ultrasonic cleaner, autoclave, apex locator, endomotor, physiodispenser, etc; several sorted instrument kits for different branches of dentistry. Furthermore, we also have fully equipped dental chairs. We offer the widest range of products from hundreds of national and international brands. Have 35k+ products from around 150+ brands, well divided under diverse categories.
Dr. Rohit also interviewed Mr. Sandeep Aggarwal, Co-Founder and technical head of Dentalkart. When asked why should dental clinicians choose Dentalkart over other means, he tells us about enormous benefits of choosing this platform. He says Dentalkart offers user-friendly interface, one time customer login for all future orders, easy product selection, most economical price, authentic and good quality, rich variety and multiple brands, easy payment gateway, fast and safe delivery of products, customer support team for installation and other queries, easy return & refund policy etc.
Furthermore, they reveal that every month we supply to 30k customers and receive around 1-2k issues. We have more than 3 lakh app downloads now and 1.3 lakh reordering customers. We have a well-trained customer care team to manage customer queries and they strive hard to provide solutions asap. It is not surprising to have some queries considering the fact that we supply to thousands of dental surgeons all across the country and we are developing our system in a way to have fewer complaints in future.
Have a warehouse in Gurgaon and office in Chhatarpur. Have a team of about 150 people working in different departments who work together as a family to make this work.
When asked about future projects, Dr. Vikas reveals that Dentalkart plans to introduce various new clinical problem solver products for dentists in 2023, open an experience centre for dental products in south Delhi, launch a specialized dental clinic management software by next year, a joint venture with two companies placed in Dubai & Kuwait respectively and expand warehouses in 4 other states by December 2023.

studying about the ipo. currently. I buy most of my stuff from you guys. Delivery time to trivandrum is about 8 days. But it has improved very much over the last year. Initially about 3 or 4 years back, it could reach as high as 2 weeks to 20 days. The game changer according to me was inclusion of pharmacy and competitive prices. Currently i am happy with you guys and hope you improve further.
