Gotta tell you all, I just got to view the final 12 minute episode of us racing this thing and I'm really really pleased with the story, I think you are going to enjoy it a lot. It's coming soon! Just one more build then it's game on!
That would be the base Outlander we bought with a 3" lift, the snorkel and some good tires. But we aren't going to be winning any races with that. This stuff isn't as pricy as a lot of folks think, yes it's an investment but as we have said you don't have to do it all at once. We could go just the engine and speed parts, the tires and rims and snorkel and probably be solidly competitive. All in that'd be about $7500 with the bike. Sure we may break some stuff that we beefed up on our build and need to spend more down the road but this bike completed will be worth significantly less than a brand new 1000 XMR or HL Polaris and will absolutely peel the stickers off both of those when it goes by it's so much faster.
I was hoping that they would do a running tally of the price on all the parts. That way you could see the true price of one of these builds. Looks like it would be a lot of fun to rip in some mud!
I have a Gen 1 800 budget build that I bought a year ago for $3500 it was very clean with only 300 miles. I have been slowly building it how I want it for mud, I now have about $9,300 in it. I'm wanting to upgrade the shocks on it. I'm interested in the Elkas, is there a reason why they recommend stage 1s up front and stage 2s in the back? Also do the Elka shocks develop any sagging in them after being on the atv for a period of time?
Can i ask how the non crushed assasinators ride and wear? I'm looking at silverbacks or assassinators and want the one that's best in the mud but is a bit better on the trail. I know they won't ride like stock but I would prefer the one that's better. Also is durability an issue for either one?
RDC is a great company and nice that they are Canadian as well. Great to see this build continue! Question though or maybe I didn't catch it, what clutches are you running in this bike? I'm curious if your going to go with the budget oriented CVTech or go all out on a QSC or STM. Great build so far.
See you said you would do a build that everyone can afford but the thing is this is more money than most can spend on a 4 wheeler still an amazing build just not a cheap one do something inside of 3 grand then that’s a budget build
Dirt Trax I'm in ergent need of those a arms where can I find them ? Super atv don't sell em anymore... I would even by the ones off your bike please help
On stock tires? Yes, you can crush just about anything, but I wouldn't think you'd be getting the best performance crushing stock tires. I'd suggest a more aggressive tire, and go with a narrow front sized tire on all 4. The larger stock rear tires with crush locks will still be quite wide as well and the whole point is to get a narrowed up tire to cut through the mud not ride on top of it. But yes you can crush the stockers for sure.
I did this as it's not a tapered hole, if it were I'd go with the taper in as per the stock rim set up but without a tapered surface on the rim its more likely to just carve up the aluminum and this way gives us a better contact patch.
I didn't understand that either, there is no difference between the a-arms or trailing arms on the STD or MAX the length difference comes from the longer frame?
Dirt Trax Television Would be nice if they cleared that up for everyone like myself that has a MAX version. Love this build even though we have zero mud in Arizona, still getting lots of ideas.
Tropical Shadow The Honda Atvs can't even Dream of spinning a crushed 29.5 more than 10mph in the mud... It's been proven time and time again, Honda just ain't got the Guts in there.

Dirt Trax Television Can't wait to see her rip!!!
already seen this in episode 8 but had to show support .... can't wait to see more
Thanks Hammer!
Looking good, would love to have seen Outlaws on it, but the crushed Assassinators will be a great pit tire.
Totally agree it'd be cool to test out the Outlaws, however the Assassinators seem to be a great tire for the straight line in the pit.
Holy crap, another video with deep pockets, do a budget mud build, under 5 with buying wheeler

Looking forward to seeing the finish product. I have some 4" corrugated drainage pipe I need to bury, how bout a hand with those tires?
Done, just tell us where and when, can't guarantee it'll be straight though lol
Dude you put the lug nuts on backwards
lug nuts cant go backwards please explain
@@cardboardtruck1009 yes they can the taper of the acorn goes to the wheels not away
Man, thous are aggressive tiers. What are you doing? Digging ditches..lol.
LOL I love your comment, and yup we will dig em all day long lol.
blackmeinu I know right this is the kinda thing makes me chicken out about going thru a mud hole like idk if 27s give me enough ground clearance 😂😂😂
What is the name of the tires tho?
@@TreeOweSix they're SuperATV assassinator 33''
I was hoping that they would do a running tally of the price on all the parts. That way you could see the true price of one of these builds. Looks like it would be a lot of fun to rip in some mud!
Good idea, I think I can get that done for you.
something wicked this way comes.

Nobody makes suspension parts for G1 outlanders anymore 😢
Do you have to put air in the tires or are they just so squeeze together that they don’t need air?
just curoius how big of a tire could you fit on a stock without aftermarket a arms
I wish I could get the parts you used on this build
We did a "Budget Breakdown" video of this build and list all the parts and links to the parts in that video's description. Worth checking out.
Where did you get the crush locks and will those fit a Honda
I'll check with AJ on that. Stay tuned...
Dirt Trax TV thanks 🙏
Looking killer interested to see the finished product and a final $$$$ invested.
How thick are the aluminum plates used for your rims?
Does anyone know why the a-arm kit cant fit the max model?
Do you cut the extra long screw for the crush locks
Can i ask how the non crushed assasinators ride and wear? I'm looking at silverbacks or assassinators and want the one that's best in the mud but is a bit better on the trail. I know they won't ride like stock but I would prefer the one that's better. Also is durability an issue for either one?
do the tires take any air after or is the folding of the tire enough to not wreck them?

Unfortunately the clutch info is still under wraps but will let you know soon.

Someone explain to me what the air valve is for?
I don't seem to like those tractor/skinny tires but I can see the use for them if your racing
Yeah they are not terribly good on the trail but they sure do rip in the mud!
Dirt Trax I'm in ergent need of those a arms where can I find them ? Super atv don't sell em anymore... I would even by the ones off your bike please help
I want one build
What ply are those tires and do they make shorter ones
They make them in a 28x10x14, they are 6ply.
Nice
What u do with the old tires off of the four wheelers
Most times they sit around till a friend asks if we have anything to fit their ATV lol
Dirt Trax Television oh
How can I do to start my Can-am in any gear?
press the brake lol
Urgent please answer
Can i put the crushlocks on stockers
On stock tires? Yes, you can crush just about anything, but I wouldn't think you'd be getting the best performance crushing stock tires. Dirt Trax Television i just want to run those until i have the money
Yeah you can do that fir sure, they Rubberdown does a great job with them, super nice product!
Those tires are a little overkill
Not when you head out to a mud race event, these were actually small in some cases.
When is the next project vid coming?
Sometime this week, I'll check what day.
Dirt Trax Television thanks
It'll be available online tomorrow. Thanks for tuning in!
Dirt Trax Television wheres the vid?
Was up on our channel on September 19. Here is the link for you: th-cam.com/video/oze2bDYAK1o/w-d-xo.html
Lug nuts are on backwards
Yeah i did that because they are a tapered nut and the crush locks are a non tapered hole, figured more surface is better when theres no taper.
Stock axles are the strongest
4:20 he places the lug lip facing out
I did this as it's not a tapered hole, if it were I'd go with the taper in as per the stock rim set up but without a tapered surface on the rim its more likely to just carve up the aluminum and this way gives us a better contact patch.
You said those arms don't work on the Max version, but aren't the fronts identical?
I didn't understand that either, there is no difference between the a-arms or trailing arms on the STD or MAX the length difference comes from the longer frame?
I'm not sure why either, but Super ATV states it right on the product page so I have to assume there is an issue with something on the max.
Dirt Trax Television Would be nice if they cleared that up for everyone like myself that has a MAX version. Love this build even though we have zero mud in Arizona, still getting lots of ideas.
@ElementalATV Please let me know!
Where's the other parts
Coming soon!
So much for flotation
First comment!!!
I race cmr, your not allowed to run arched arms in pro a classes man
Everyone in the OMR race with them, there wasn't any rules on that in the open class where we raced.
part 6
Very interesting. People calling quads a "BIKE" has always bothered me. Bikes have 2 wheels are are for men, quads have 4 and are for old men. Simple.
I know, it's a habit for me. I keep getting told that i just forget, but I'll do my best to call it a quad or ATV
Second
CAN THE SET UP BE USE'D 4 THE BEACH¿¿¿
👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏💘🙏🙏
First
Lol still going to break axles and drive shafts still after all this work buy a Honda
Honda's will break plenty on tires like that, and won't go half as far with no wheel speed.
Tropical Shadow The Honda Atvs can't even Dream of spinning a crushed 29.5 more than 10mph in the mud... It's been proven time and time again, Honda just ain't got the Guts in there.
Tropical Shadow lmao gtfo with your honda.
The onlything i like a honda motor on is my lawnmower
carlos valencia Honda makes good equipment, but when it comes to performance they suck
Motor Mania thats why id rather keep hondas on my mowers cuz i know what theyre good for.
In my opinion the tires look stupid
function over form
KillerATV true
It's pisses me off every time he says it's a bike
I know, I know, I'll try my best to call it an ATV or Quad.
It’s called a Quad bike in certain parts of the world so yeah...suck that.
It
BRP porn.
