- If your dad decided to be a world-killing eco-terrorist, what would you do?
I’m going to break down the mistakes made, what you should do, and how to beat the PARASITIC WORLD KILLER in THE THAW.

The second you said people where touching a decomposing Polar bear corpse with Bare FUCKING HANDS I immediately knew they had no self preservation skills...
The thing reference
u know the doomed to die when u dont fallow protocol
@@slimegirl4099 No, bears are just typically infested with parasitic worms that you _can_ catch if you touch them with your bare hands.
@@slimegirl4099 No, bears are sometimes infested by parasitic worms that you can potentially catch if you touch the bear with your bare hands.
A "pyro flinger" should be standard equipment for any arctic or deep sub terranian expedition
"Mac wants the flamethrower!"
"Mac wants the what?"
"That's what he said! Now, move!"
"Now you'll all be equipped with the latest incinerator 90000xd. Range of 80 meters, flames hotter then 2300° "
"But sir, we're scientists researching penguins!"
Can never be too careful in the wild *pumps shotgun* thats why I have dragonbreath shells loaded."
Everyone gets a Heavy flammer
flamethrowers are used in Arctic/Antarctic facilities to thaw pipes and for other maintenance reasons, not for killing. That's why the crew in The Thing had them handy.
@@SantanicoDiabolicalseemed pretty useful for the killing too honestly.
Good God the premise of that movie is horrifying.
Botflies : "Hello there" :3
What how Human Extinction could literally be caused by dum@ss young adults? Well maybe the bugs to but still
Too bad the movie was terrible.
4:50. If she was choking and heaving, then….she is breathing, and the last thing she would need is someone blocking her away or forcing any fluid deeper into her bronchial system via mouth-to-mouth.
I lost it when you said barts bug bite developed herpies.😭🤣😭🤣 caught me of guard.
😂🤣🤣🤣
Oh my god the botfly lesson instantly gave me goosebumps and made me feel itchy all over 🤮🤮 Actually this whole episode is making me itchy 😂
The worms crawl in....the worms crawl our.....they chew your guts and then spit them out.
I actually had to pause and stop listening at that point because I was almost sick
Very informative and well done, just very nasty
I haven't ever encountered an active botfly, but when I was in the Amazon before COVID got real big, I was helping out at a field medical clinic alongside some nursing students. An older woman came in with a botfly wound (the fly was already gone). I have never seen a bunch of gals get as excited/giddy as the nursing students did when they found out they could get a close up look at a botfly wound. Nurses are built different.
Yeah, like Blobfish said, cases involving botfly larva in humans are rare. Been to the rainforest several times and never had a problem with them. We are not their preferred hosts.
Then, you should never leave the city you live in. Like ever
Jesus the amount of times I smacked my forehead from seeing the characters touching EVERYTHING with their bare hands 🤦🏽♀️
Ppe or use a long stick
Just make sure you didn't TOUCH A PERSON WITH BROWN LIQUID COMING FROM THEIR MOUTH
Man seeing Val Kilmer looking healthy made me happy....then you said the movie is 15 years old. 😭
Wow! I remember this movie when i took my son to see it. His grades in the second year of high-school were just so bad, I had to
I always liked how this was The Thing but not The Thing
The black death was just a cold. Love it 😂😂😂
I remember watching this and getting so heated over the lack of hygiene, quarantining, and PPE from SCIENTISTS.
They don’t even use their improvised ‘airtight’ containment properly because they open and close the barrier constantly. When he shoots through the window I wanted to scream lol.
They don’t even take the precaution of sealing the cracks in the doors with duct tape to make the spread of the bugs more difficult in rooms with infected bodies or infected living people.
You know i never did understand the need to touch dead things ...like i dont care how cool it looks you dont gotta touch it

Those bugs sure look terrifying. Would've dipped my fingers and would automatically be stung to death.
The drip the drip
New fear unlocked
Same ...I will now be scared of bugs laying eggs in me
And I hate maggots as it is
How is releasing what is basically an invasive species into the world supposed to just curve our numbers? I’m assuming he was trying to save the planet from people but did he not think “huh maybe I shouldn’t release something into the wild that has no current predators”
Environmentalists don't tend to be very smart
Exactly. This has got to be the dumbest eco-terrorism plot that I've heard since Pokémon had Team Magma and Team Aqua trying to screw with the sea levels.
I no joke just watched this last night on Tubi.
ever since i was 7 years old and saw a snippet of this movie, it traumatized me to this day and i could never get the idea of bugs burrowing inside your body out of my mind
i already sometimes feel like bugs are crawling under my skin but oh well i guess i’ll watch this too
This reminds me of a book called "The Colony" where ecoterrorists engineer an ant species to eat only humans & rats. And the ants are all out of rats
and that reminds me of an Old Manga, "Bio Meat". they create a new species of animal to eat all organic matter, multiply rapidly, and to avoid manmade materials such as plastics that humans can then harvest and eat them, solving hunger and trash issues.
that...works about as well as it sounds.
Yessss! I've been waiting for you to cover this movie! There's so many idiotic moves made!
Me obviously infected "nah bro i always be coughing up blood and shit thats normal, you can trust me"

Why is it always post graduate students ending the world 😭😭
My guess is that it's because they're educated enough to potentially be granted access to things like this (even though they definitely shouldn't) but are lacking enough in wisdom to more believably fuck everything up.
Thank you for the SFW captions on a video involving a homicide or two, drug-induced self-unaliving, and more fun times.
Started itching while watching this video
Question. Why didn´t those bugs destroy all life on earth before they froze?
Same reason the clown fish isn't out of control in the Pacific, but is going nuts off Florida's coast.
@@disbeafakename167 No, it doesn't seem like these have natural predators anywhere.
Am I the only one who is partial to having an arsenal of incendiary granules, napalm tanks and flamethrowers at this types of research stations ?
yes. you brought them illegally
@@Nezumi_Yasu That's exactly what an alien would say..
I would bet money that casting Shawn Ashmore, the ICEMAN, in a movie called THE THAW, had to be a deliberate joke.
My word the choices these people make are so frustrating
What a nice video to watch during breakfast, this is why i prefer killers traps and death games or demons
Once again watching this before breakfast
Great video watched it all the way through👏
I would say, it wasn't beaten because the intro when they found the polar bear eating the frozen dinner so were the birds snacking on it. So the birds were already transporting the parasite past the first zone into the whole enviroment. The whole movie was basically pointless because they lost before the game ever began.
ffs why did I choose this video to watch while eating.
I've been trying to find this movie for years!! 😩 Thank you!!!
I had a botfly larva grow on my forehead when I was a child, I waited around with a piece of pork belly on it so it would get out lmao.
just a lmao 💀💀
Ah yes the tried and true tactic of hacking your arm off using a cleaver without so much as a tourniquet or beer.
R.I.P. the people who got their Nerd Card temporarily revoked
Can’t be possible I don’t think it’s possible for any person who watches nerd explains to never have played plague inc
@@Kurosakidog honestly an iconic game
This was the first Nerd Explains video to actually make me, a gore fanatic, incredibly nauseous. Well done, Nerd. Well done.
nah man, i dont fuck with groups of bugs without raid or a similar spray, id remove myself from that situation SO fast xD
If I'm spraying bugs with stuff, I want it to be flammable and at high pressure.
This is it, this is the movie that will give me nightmares.
I was watching this film with you in my head before I even watched this video. Bare hands, cutting an arm off in the middle of no where... these bros lost brain cells FAST.
So happy to hear you doing the voiceover I don’t like listening to the other guy
Probably not a great sign for this movie's plot that the entire threat can be eliminated by these supposed scientists being as smart as regular scientists
The fact that this scenario was probably very much containable and they probably would of survived if they werent dumb.
Besides maybe possible diseases that can come from these insects.
Seems they move fast (like most insects in horror movies) but I imagine that the blowfly removal technique mentioned could do SOMETHING to help.
These things hatching and pupating fast could also mean that they may die out fast?
Literally containable from the very beginning if these idiots so called "College science students" who should fuking know common sense of wearing gloves and get disinfected in and out of the lab
Oh god this movie.
My brother and I watched it for Horrorible movie night one time and it made me feel uncomfortable.
Really didn't help that we lived in a place that got house centipedes in our kitchen on occasion.
I love the plague inc call out XD
Mike Tyson trying to say, 'The saw'
Someone please tell me what the name of the movie is at 9:58! PLEASE I saw a long time ago and could never remember the bane
If you ever found the answer I'd like to know too
@@Anselmer_ I sadly have not yet lol
@@Anselmer_ yo bro, I found the name of the movie, it’s called Planet Terror (2007)
Parts of it reminded me of Blood Glacier (2014), another wacky sci-fi survival b-movie, though that went more into the implications before the inevitable apocalypse.
I bought this on dvd years ago. My kids and i watched it just the other day lol
I cannot see this video man, I reached minute 7, after that, I couldn't handle the footage you used hahaha.
This was the wrong video to be eating breakfast while watching 7:19 💀
There’s no beating them. It’s already over.
Fml dude this is my fear personified,im terrified of getting a parasite.
What's the name of the movie @0:11 ?
I'd like to know to
When Evil Lurks is the movie
Thanks for reminding me of pleague inc. I need to re download it lol. Fun gane ha ha ha.
TH-cam’s new guidelines fucking suck, so much blurred out content.
Ah yes, not a single glove in sight, just people enjoying the moment
Thanks for the bot fly nightmare fuel. I'm never sleeping again 😑
Enjoyed seeing this review
He cuts some good stuff out of the movie, watch it, its actually kinda good.
Anyone else have anew fear unlocked? Or just me?
i would love to see you do terrifier 3 when you can
He should do one on the killer klowns from outer space
I didn't even need to learn the hard way to circle around dead, partially rotted carcasses further away than you can smell it.
ty for upload
Please make a tier list of the most common stupid decisions made in these movies
Laughing my butt off. He said, the tourniquet was garbage. 🤣🤣🤣
Omg plague inc! I think this is my sign to redownload that game- something I was considering the other night! The only thing that sucks is I've lost all my achievements!!
Ah I was thinking of a different movie where the infection was like melding peoples genes or something
cant believe i really just googled what a dirty sanchez is because of this video
Note to self, never go to central and South America to avoid botflies and mosquitos
Please make a video on "Fall"
Plague inc was a brilliant game… simian flu was stupidly hard to get cookin
The infestaton of Wimpod :D£
Go my boy
I remember watching this movie and I don’t get the dad’s motive like does he want to cause a pandemic or something?

What’s is the movie about the ancient god being resurrected in the first minute?
When Evil Lurks
It’s past midnight my time and that fly story defo was not what I needed to hear
This is why bugs freak me TF out
i have never scratched myself so much from watching a movie...
this movie gave me nightmares!!!!!!!
without characters like those in movies we would not know how not to be stupid
I haven't heard of a Dirty Sanchez since elementary school 😂😂😂
How is it that the only other video I've watched on this channel as has Shawn Ashmore in it lol
What’s the movie on 0:13?
When Evil Lurks
Movie not very good, but Unfortunately it gets a lot of body horror points, Botfly's but worse is a horrifying visual.
Used fat back a couple times on chiggers
I had them once and soaked in the tub for a while. Seemed to do the trick.
I did watching this movie on The Roku Channel in Summer May 2023.
Do day after tomorrow next time🎉🙏😇
OMG
This movie!!!
IS A HIDDEN GEM!!!
A shame we’d have to burn that almost perfectly preserved mammoth
How to beat uncanny annie?
And this movie brought me fucking nightmares, and gave me a phobia when i first saw it. 😭😭😭
Maybe the group could have survived, but the crow would have spreaded the bug anywaus
This movie was never scary but it was and still is horrifying. Just some weird worm and insect based phobia that i can't explain.
They did everything wrong here, Darwin awards everywhere.
Touched a infected dead bear
Didn’t quarantine the infected
Didn’t wear gloves
And brushed off any “non serious” parasites burying in the guys arm.
You know how there’s a subreddit called r/MenWritingWomen? I think there should be one for writers who write about medical stuff without a lick of research prior.
Tbh tho we live in that world that you created at the beginning
