how fun; they will make excellent bug patrol officers around your garden and fertilize the soil in the process.

Very cool! I would love to have ducks again, they are so much fun. Looks like you've got the basics of their care figured out already. Can't wait to see them adapt to their new home!

    Hi, there.
Those ducks look like moskovy ducks. They get big. Like more than 5kg but they can fly. So you gotta watch out later on. Also try to get get them on softer ground because the rocks might tear up their webbed feet.

Hopefully the chickens can roam free as well. I have had chickens for years as I used to rehome the caged ones so they could free range. It usually took a couple of weeks and they would know their new home. I usually fed them at night and they would follow me to the chook house. Your house is far too small for them, but may be OK for new born chicks. They need a lot of room to scratch and dust bath and search for bugs. The property looks good.

Maybe you can stick some fertile duck eggs under your broody chicken as well :-)

@@sonselvapermaculture I know yours are young, perhaps your neighbor who rehomed his ducks to you had some eggs as well :-) Looking forward to the outcome of the broody hen.
