- Morten Hilmer, Rune Malte Bertram-Nielsen, me and the dogs, spendt 5 days in a private forest on a Danish peninsula. We find oysters and eat them raw and prepared on the campfire. We tap birch sap, find chaga and makes tea of it, while we discuss it. I make a bushcraft chair, Morten does his wildlife protography, and Bertram gets to paddle his new canoe.
Morten: Morten served at the Sirius Patrol. A part of the Danish special forces. That patrols the north east of Greenland for 2 years at the time. He is now a wellknown wildlife photographer and TH-camr that has alot of things going on.

Like I commented on Bertram's website : You CANNOT go wrong with "long" videos. Aircraft geeks love the intricacies and details of every aspect of the preflight and the flight. Same with railfans. We could (and do) spend hours watching every tree get chopped down, every log split into pieces, every piece hacked and battened into sticks. We enjoy the crunch of the leaves and the splatter of the rain, the cooking the paddling, the stirring and sometimes just hearing the fire crackle as the wind blows it's way through the trees. We watch to enjoy, to learn and often just to relax and sleep. Creepy as it sounds, waking up and hearing Bertram chopping and crunching and cooking his way through the day is like waking up to the smell of coffee and bacon while the kids are playing in their rooms. Never boring.

Thank you Alice. Just the nights when it is very windy, and if there is alot of animals around, then Musen wakes me up once in a while. But i generally sleep better in my hammock than in my bed. :)

Soren👍👍 Musen looks healthy and happy and has a friend on this adventure.. One superior axe man followed by another, two of the best I'm sure. Had to be a good time with three friends each with your own special skills. I watched you and Rune weekly for a long time before you guys backed away from the cameras, it's such a treat when you put out a new video. Hoping you can manage many more in the coming times. Didn't know much about Morten until Rune made a video a long time back, looks like a great trio to me. Jokes, seriousness, fire, food, friends and more, doesn't get much better than this. Weather, well it changes its mind at will and adaptation is the only answer. Great camp and video, thanks for the trip. Enjoy!

That gut of wind though :)) We just had a 1 day bushcraft trip and it was a blizzard. Getting the fire started with all that moist and wind was a real challenge. But it was even more rewarding when the fire was burning. Cheers from Transylvania!

This was a wonderful video. You look like true Vikings sailing down the river in your canoe. Great to see 3 friends sharing stories, knowledge and time together in friendship outdoors. Poor musen can’t bear the thought of sharing you Don. The way you all took care of each other’s dog’s was touching to see. You’re all so truly kind, and loving people. I learned so much from this. I would like to try Chaga & drink it for its health benefits. Thank you for taking us along on your break away, I know it’s hard work filming whilst trying to relax too. Thank goodness you were not hurt too badly by the fall of the tree. The wind really was strong on occasion there. I’ve missed your videos & wondered where you were. I’m pleased to see that both you & musen are well. We all know you take wonderful care of your dogs, it’s sad you have to clarify it for the people who will question you. Yes i have to answer what i feed Musen alot. I often forget to film it, and i regret afterwards. On the other hand it is a good thing that people care. :)
@@DonVonGun Well, I’ll have to make it my goal for this year then to find the chaga haha! I’m really interested to find out what it tastes like. I’d love to try the sap too, but I don’t know enough about protecting the tree, so I wouldn’t attempt that. I’d hate to do damage to it. Yes, we all care deeply about Musen, she’s such a loving, beautiful dog and your relationship is beautiful too. The trust, and bond is something so special and so clear to see.
