Tip Tuesday: How to locate A,B,C,D lines

  • This week we're taking you through how to locate your A,B,C&D lines. This is helpful for flaking your canopy, for understanding your gear more and how your parachute flies.

    This was awesome. I was really confused during the packing class with how best to find the lines and this helped a ton!
    So many great explanations that I didn't understand...
    - As are the first off of the nose. The nose is between your legs (I face palmed with how simple that actually was). Flake just after them.
    - Bs and Cs are separated by the slider grommets. Flake between those.
    - Get the steering lines out of the way by following the binding tape to the tail
    - Cs and Ds will be easy to see as the Ds will hang lower

    This helps a lot, I'm just learning to pack and I find A and B easy to identify but C and D can be a bit more tricky.

    You can use some colors it's more simple (on bartack or webbing), like A=red ; B=blue ; C=yellow ; D=green.... :-)

    Just got licensed and bought a new 2021 spectre 190. Can I color code the lines with something or should I avoid marking them?
