That’s not that fast. And it’s not that difficult to pack one. 6-10 minutes is the norm. Under 5 and your booking. Also one that big you can stuff in the bag and not worry. One half that size has to be more precisely packed

Same as anything, the more you do it the faster you get. Took my bike to the shop the other day, the guy did in 10 mins what would've taken me an hour. He didn't miss any steps of the packing process, I would jump that. In fact when I've used rental rigs I have no doubt jumped 5 minute pack jobs. As long as my reserve isn't a 5 minute pack I'm happy.

was it a good opening is th right question! I saw a fast pack job once on a Unit. I asked the guy about it and he said - squares always open! Well, it opened but with a lineover. He tried to clear it until way to late and the reserve opened literally on impact.
I will take a longer pack any time.
The only time I tried to hurry for a jump was 6 months after I had fractured 3 vertebrae in my neck and the opening was AGONY. It did however open... I was jumping a Splatostar (Stratostar) at the time which opened quick no matter what.

If you want to get into pedantry and patents perhaps it could/should be called a parafoil, however in common use it isnt. Using the term Parafoil may be recognised (by old jumpers)as a brand name of a particular early square canopy in the 70s. Was an excellent thing when it opened.

He could earn $10-15 per pack from jumpers who have lots of money earning $30-40 per hour in cash. Equal to or better than many jobs.

Everyone who knows the guy says he's a master at packing. I just wonder how he doesn't get line overs. Because he does not seem to even check the break lines. I assume he knows what he's doing but this part kinda looks strange to me !

He checked them while running line continuity in the first 15 seconds. He isn't saving time by skipping steps.
