Another fantastic vid. Killer intro and b-roll, outstanding fish *and* fish handling with a great basket net. Shore fishing often means the fish gets dragged up so huge kudos for schlepping around that net. (Which you then used as a leaf skimmer to grab some litter.) Three thumbs up 👍👍👍 And man you got the fishing fire inside of you for toughing out that cold rain. I can stand being cold and wet when I'm moving/working, but standing around while casting...my fire isn't strong enough anymore
haha thats all good! There are so many great channels out there so I'm honoured you subscribed! I don't get a lot of time away from work, or guilt free time away from the kids so when I get it I have to make it work... rain, sleet, hail, whatever! I've really improved my fish handling over the years through watching videos like yours and others. I was terrible at it at first and still try to be as conscientious as possible, I am not quite barbless yet, but interested in giving it a try. As for the litter, oi, don't get me started... I am just going to weave it into my videos where I can going forward as an underlying message. Thanks for the watching!
Thanks! I had my rain gear on and I don't always get a lot of time to fish between having a job that can be demanding and two toddlers at home, so when I have the time I need to make it count!
Looks like a blast. I’ve been exploring lake Ontario’s shore and it seems like it is an extremely underfished spot in the wintertime. Hoping to get into some lakers or browns on the American side this weekend. Great vid!
@@ActuallyAndrewFishing totally worth it though! I cant wait to get back out and film some fishing. Our first baby is due in like 4 weeks so to say I've been busy is an understatement. Soon! Until then I'll keep watching other people enjoy the outdoors. Cheers.

@@aaangling1980 I think they probably would work. Soft plastics, jerk baits and spinners all imitate bait fish essentially and all may do well. I would just vary how you fish it including let the spinner sink more, try jigging etc.
Thanks! They are such marvellous looking fish, especially the ones that are darker like this. I have caught some lighter ones too which are nice, but I just love those deep yellow and red ones.
Awesome fish man! I know exactly where you are, waiting for ice fishing to open there! Are you just not allowed to fish in the marina when there's boats in?
Do the browns just enter the harbours this time of year to feed or are they entering thinking it's a river mouth? Do you think any Lake Ontario harbour would have some browns this time of year. By the way, great video. Tight lines!

Tiny little mistakes you did made lose 2 nice fish. You should simply loosen your drag and fight with the fish until gosh gets tired instead of just reeling it in right away. Something to keep in mind bud… keep up the good work!

Nice brown and pike, Andrew. Looked like messy weather, it was nice and warm at home during that time for me. 😂. Glad you got into a couple.
