That looks like an expensive garden spade. I'll definitely need a bigger chisel roll before I can splash out on 1 of those. Great vids and love the new format.

Watching that wobbly bench reminds me how much I miss my Black & Decker Workmate. Got it in 1970s - about the 1 millionth sold. Lost it about 7 years ago. Rock solid and portable

What's the wheel looking thing at 19:30 on the front of the tractor for? It's amazing you can go full speed and bale, crazy how powerful these machines have become. Thanks for combining my two favorite things to relax to on TH-cam, farming and carpentry.
Thankyou! The front box holds tools, extra twine, has a pushing bar on the front for moving bales and the roller underneath if for pushing big lumps over and flattening them so you can drive over them. Some lumps where combines stop are 6' high 🤣
I work on maintenance of the Boeing 777 and for the trailing edge flaps there’s grease required in a hard to reach location. The nipples are positioned close to hand and are on the end of a length of 1/4 Alu tubing that in turn does all the reaching into the tight spaces before it’s threaded into the fitting. Given the aversion to any excess weight, it must been a right pain. Am surprised not to see similar on the JD
Ey up Jim, no bit of fun, but turns out they have a practical reason too, we like to clean the baler down facing into the wind so the dust goes away from tractor/exhaust etc... Flags make the location easy 😂

@@BradshawJoinery I've been in this trade all my life. I've worked with the best and the worst. I've seen shaper knives go through walls, exploding heads, finger's lost. Ripping tenon cheeks with the grain facing forward in to two saw blades ? If that kicks back on you you will only have yourself to blame. You know it, I know it. It only takes one knot or case hardened timber. It only takes a moment and you won't be able to wind back the clock. Tenons at an angle are always tricky as is shaping round mouldings. What would I have done ? Used a thicker slotting head, flipped the work and reversed the rotation to avoid the risk of a thin blade bending and binding in the cut. That way you only need one blade instead of two and the little extra time it takes ? Inconsequential. OR use an insert tenoning head. I use my shaper as a single end tenoner all the time. But I would never use a saw blade on it. Especially outside of ninety degree angle cut's. Remember, your in the public domain now. People will see how you did that and try to copy it. If I bend the rule's in private then I only have myself to blame. There are huge number of hobby woodworker's out there with a Felder shaper or similar who want to push the limits. When it comes to heavy timber framing it's usually better quicker and easier to do a bare faced tenon anyway. Braces don't need to be the same thickness as the post and beams.

Charge them more for that one BTW. say it’s a fox wedged tenon ‘Don’t be telling everybody… but see as it fits in the joint the wedge forces out the sides and… ‘ 😜 So not to be nosey if it’s private, but I’m guessing you and your brother do farm work for dad, in exchange for reduced/ free rent on your workshop space? Sweet deal all round, rents my biggest outlay, if I could buy a factory I’d get ahead quick 👍🏻 and no one has you by the balls either

yess! waxed before and after use. I did however mistakedly leave my big slick on a piece of green oak... painful finding that in the morning.
Oh no! get the air line and blow in all the nooks and corners. Our Sedgwick planer is not in great shape!
