I put my 2000 point World Eaters army on the table the other day and the first thing my opponent said was "Is that it? Where's the rest of it?". Definitely could do with a points adjustment.
Agreed khorne berzerkers aren't much better than assault intecessors after you look at the points cost difference imo. I think a 10% point reduction at minimum is needed especially after the new rules for vehicles.
@@boredmagala5701 I think depending on the army they are good like Chaos with Abaddon but like for World Eaters they can't have a leader and I just don't think they bring enough for 190 points without a leader. What are your thoughts on them?

I know, shooting is heretical but 10th edition is forcing our hand. We also don't have many good anti-tank options and the ones we do have die too quick and are too expensive. The strat-reserved Maulerfiend is a cool strategy because they excel at attacking wounded targets. Wound a big target and bring him in (ideally near Angron, if possible). Play aggressive. But yeah, need a points reduction badly. We're like an expensive Custodes army without the statline to back it up
Yeah its a shame how expensive the army is Hopefully that will be addressed in a future Balance Dataslate, If things were cheaper the army would be much better as it has a lot of potential :D

My currently unbeaten list (it uses legends so non-comp): Angron x2 LoS (or you can swap an LoS for a Kytan because they look so cool) Greater Brass Scorpion x1 Jakhals So far the victims are Knights (twice) and Ultramarines. It's a bit of a meme list but it's hella fun. Deployment is hilarious. You're opponent blinks and you're deployed! :D
What I still don't understand: Blessings of Khorne affect all units in my army with this ability - so which blessing does effect just one unit and which effect my whole army?
Months late and post-point drops... here's my theory-crafting: Lord Invocatus+Eightbound (all scout), giving Scout to MoE/Glaive/Zerks and MoE/Zerks. Daemon Prince/Helm on foot solos, Lord on Juggernaut joins Exalted Eight leaving another 10 Berzerkers and 10 Jakhals to do their own thing. Optionally, Lord Jugger joins the third Berzerkers and deep strike the Exalted...
"Please dont call him daddy and look me in the eyes" hahaha World eaters are going to be my second army. Im in the process of building my first ever army, dark angels, but world eaters and the full bore run in hack slash bite rip tear that i crave. Im starting small with 1000pt armies so ill be taking this knowledge to put into use. I also watched yalls dark angel episode like this and thats what i did there. So hopefully i convert the knowledge well
In regards to the Invocatus/Beserker strat, its a really smart idea, but I was under the impression leaders could only move the same distance as the unit they're attached to, do they still retain their own move characteristic?
The Helm would halve the Damage characteristic of the weapon used in the attack (rounding up, if odd number). So a weapon with Dev Wounds with 2 Damage, would only do 1 Mortal Wound or a weapon with Dev Wounds with 3 Damage, would only do 2 Mortal wounds, etc
Hi just starting out on 40k building my world eaters army Kharn the betrayer Master of execution Deamon prince with wings upgrade helm of brazen ire, 20 x khorne berserkers 2x unit of 10 10x terminators 2x unit of 5 1 reaper cannon in each unit. Eightbound 1 unit of 3 Helbrute with multi melta and missile launcher Land raider with everything lol Mauler fiend 10x bloodletters 1x skull taker Might remove mauler fiend for lord invocatus now I've watched this.
Step one: win the roll for first turn. Step two: don't lose the roll for first turn. In seriousness tho, we need a lil bit of a point drop, at least on 8B and Bezerkers
A question about Angron's 'Reborn in Blood' and 'For the Blood God' strategem: as FtBG specifically states a Blessing, and Reborn isn't considered a 'blessing' per se, you can't use that Strategem to try and bring Angron back correct?
Great video really, sadly j couldnt hear half of it after your sponsor ads blew my ears off at double volume /J good video really bit please lowwr the volume on the sponsor segments
They aren't in the list and you didn't spotlight them so I feel like I already know the answer lol....but what are the thoughts on Terminators in a WE list?
Made a meme list I played a few weeks back. Angron, Invocatus MoE with Glaive Juggerlord with Favoured 2 units of 5 zerkers 3 units of 3 Eightbound 1 6 man Exalted 8bound Land Raider Spawn The perceptive players will know why this list is funny. My opponent lost because he spent the opening turns fighting off the Angron and (Invocatus + 3 eightbound unit) turn 1 charges and didn't have time to score.
Hi! I am so glad that this channel exists and want to thank you for your content. I'd like to ask you about blood surge rule. It is said that I can move up to result rolled on D6 and at the same time it says that I must end up this kind of move as close as possible to the closest unit. My question is, is that "up to" wording means that I can move toward enemy unit less than I rolled on D6? Or because of as close as possible my models must move full result? Thank you in advance for your answer!
I think people are sleeping on giving the Berzerker Glaive to a generic Lord on Juggernaut; the bonus attacks and damage get applied to his regular attacks plus the extra attacks from the juggernauts horn!
At this point we need an update on how to play World Eaters into Orkz. It feels like the release of the Orkz codex has just straight up invalidated World Eaters as a faction. Now we're even struggling into CSM.
WE are unfortunately too expensive points wise. Also you are basically forced to bring a few Rhinos or Land Raiders. I know that's to be expected but at the end of 9th it was easier to just run a full infantry army (at least it felt like it).
That's why we wanted to make a list without him and I think if you do the Daemon Prince on foot is your solution but Angron is fantastic for sure and. see what your saying :)
@@woahhbro2906 also, angron straight up looses a duel against the Avatar in terms of damage output. The Avatar is more likely to kill him than the opposite and thats before accounting for using a magic 6 to auto sustained hits d3 on his ranged attack, or relying on the -1 to wound he generally gets. All that for 120 points less than Angron. 1nd to add insult to injury, you don't even pick up the Avatar for competitive. He is a great melee monster (maybe THE best if we account for all factors ?) but you just take a wraithknight over him and kill Angron turn 1 with an average of 18 mortal wounds. Before accounting for normal damage and auxiliary weapons. Guilliman ? Has a better sweep, a strike slightly inferior to angron's, can be lone operative, and has better buffs for the army. Oh, and shoots decentely. Comes back to life reliably. Costs way less. The Lion ? Fights first and absolutely decimates angron. Magnus ? Double doom bolt in your face, enjoy 10 MW in your face angron, and some more with psy shots. I love angron, but he needs to hit harder, tank better(or come back to life reliably) and cost less. Oh wait, that goes for World Eaters as a whole.
Their limitation due to high point cost is definitely painful for me as a beginner. My first army is gonna be a world eater army because khorne and all khorne related things are the best ever (don't @ me.) I just wanna run a bunch of big khorney monsters with fucking swords for hands and nothing on their mind but the latest techniques in flaying their victims alive.
Why, when I talk with my friends with more experience, you can't have +1A,+1S on heroic, because it's considered a bonus from charge AND it's out of sequence. Can I have some clarification on that? It's very situational, but it actually can be a turning point if it works
There is only one charge bonus written in the rule book and that’s fight first. Sure having a benefit/rule to charging like the world eaters have is a “bonus” but it’s not specific. Hope that helps.
What about the out of phase rule OUT-OF-PHASE RULES Some rules allow a model or unit to move, shoot, charge or fight outside of the normal turn sequence. For example, the Fire Overwatch Stratagem enables a unit to shoot in the opponent’s turn as if it were your Shooting phase. When using out-of-phase rules to perform an action as if it were one of your phases, you cannot use any other rules that are normally triggered in that phase. Wouldn't that cancel the army trait?
@@PTurbo4th well it’s in the same phase, not out of phase, and the detachment rule says when you make a charge. I’d agree it wouldn’t work if it said if you make a charge in your turn. But just says after making a charge.
Firstly, absolutely love the in-depth discussion and the use of the term “daddy”. Is there any chance you could do an updated list noting the points reduction from the balance? Thank you. Love your work!
@@VanguardTactics Thank you for the reply! I cannot wait to see them in action. I am coming back to the game after 10 years and I have to say your channel is making it an absolute joy to get back into the hobby!
You mention a few times that Beserkers in rhinos are a good thing. As rhinos don't have Assault Ramp, what's the play there? Id think it would just slow you down from getting into combat. Would love to hear your ideas behind it
Berzerkers in Rhinos have been a traditional staple in World Eaters, so half the time people recommend them they're falling back to what worked in the past. Which is understandable. I'd say 10th edition is the first time where Rhinos aren't 100% crucial. Depending on Blessings, foot slogging can still be very quick. There's also the fact that Berzerkers are no longer the multipurpose menace that they used to be, so there's not a huge point in investing so much to make sure subpar units get into combat. A Rhino delivering a MoE with a Berzerker Glaive is a different story however. That's still pretty crucial, I'd say. For the durability aspect. Rhino will give you more consistant and reliable speed too. But 10th is probably the first time we can leave Rhinos on the shelf without feeling bad about it.
Is it possible for you to hand me your transcript? I would like to translate it into german for my own usage. Would make it so much easier for me to fully understand this army...
Just player my first game yesterday vs a friend. (World eater vs black templar "with a dreadnought") My lord invocatus and beserk went hard on his infantry but his mech has that" that -1 wound from chainaxe " . My only units that could have wounded him was beserks with eviscerators and Lord invocatus. Needless to say I won the 1-2 rounds. Got totaly wiped by his solo dreadnought with overwatch*? stratagem . Could there be a unit that woud be prefered to boost my anti tank capabilities? (Saw some datasheets and i dont really want to get angron, lord of skull for that)
I should add that i bought a knight abominant because it looked like a hell of a project to buikd and paint but it looked so cool. I dont think it it really ment to be an anti tank concidering his abilities in AOE and weapons
You could say Angron is good, but then i put him in comparison to the Avatar of Khaine who is basically twice as survivable thanks to half damage taken, a higher toughness, hits almost as hard (harder if you use a dice to auto sustained hits 3 on his ranged attack) costs way less... and is easily buffable with a -1 to wound. Or, you know, Guilliman, way more manoeuvrable in terrain, ressurects more reliably, has arguably a better sweep, a slightly less powerful strike, gives better utility to the army, and has a decent ranged weapon. And don't get me started on the lion. All of these are less expansive than angron. Basically, can't Angron have his old sweep back ? And some way to be more survivable or come back to life reliably ? I get that angron is good amongst world eater units, but in the meta he is... meh.
World eaters are overpriced, GW and whoever assisted them with determining rules and costs did a shit job this edition. 10th needed another 6 months before it should of came out, I’m tired of GE pretending this is okay.
They are overpriced. I think GW saw World Eater's success at the end of 9th and determined that success was due to their units (when it was really due to our faction secondaries) and so they kind of slightly nerfed us going into 10th. Except they nerfed units who weren't really strong enough to deserve it. Yes, some World Eaters units hit hard. But that alone doesn't make a unit OP. GW seemed to quickly gloss over World Eaters. They didn't even give us a leader character for our Terminators. They could have just used the Chaos Lord in Terminator Armor. He's sitting right there, GW! Lol it seems like laziness or just a gross oversight, I dunno. Maybe a specialized model is coming soon? Maybe that's it? Doubt it though.
Don't worry, give it a year and 11th will be out anyway. Not all the armies will get a codex, and we'll have another situation where guard get entirely fucked months before release

My currently unbeaten list (it uses legends so non-comp):
Angron
x2 LoS (or you can swap an LoS for a Kytan because they look so cool)
Greater Brass Scorpion
x1 Jakhals
So far the victims are Knights (twice) and Ultramarines. It's a bit of a meme list but it's hella fun. Deployment is hilarious. You're opponent blinks and you're deployed! :D
What I still don't understand: Blessings of Khorne affect all units in my army with this ability - so which blessing does effect just one unit and which effect my whole army?
All of the Blessings effect your entire army, assuming you're running pure World Eaters. Any allied units won't get them.
"Please dont call him daddy and look me in the eyes" hahaha
World eaters are going to be my second army.
This army now cost 1765 points
You can add
2x transports
And all the enchantments you need.
Dang, will be on my way to work at that time. Will definitely have to watch it later.
something to look forward to ey ;) can't wait to hear what you thought :D
I have a question about mortal wounds, how it works with the helm of brazen ire
The Helm would halve the Damage characteristic of the weapon used in the attack (rounding up, if odd number). So a weapon with Dev Wounds with 2 Damage, would only do 1 Mortal Wound or a weapon with Dev Wounds with 3 Damage, would only do 2 Mortal wounds, etc
Hi just starting out on 40k building my world eaters army
Kharn the betrayer
Master of execution
Deamon prince with wings upgrade helm of brazen ire,
20 x khorne berserkers 2x unit of 10
10x terminators 2x unit of 5 1 reaper cannon in each unit.
Eightbound 1 unit of 3
Helbrute with multi melta and missile launcher
Land raider with everything lol
Mauler fiend
10x bloodletters
1x skull taker
Might remove mauler fiend for lord invocatus now I've watched this.
Anyone have any luck running a hellbrute? I have a dreadnought I’ve converted from the heresy box but unsure if it’s that viable
Thats right, Angrons triple 6 resurrection only works with your "start of the battle round" Blessings roll.
Great video really, sadly j couldnt hear half of it after your sponsor ads blew my ears off at double volume
/J good video really bit please lowwr the volume on the sponsor segments
They aren't in the list and you didn't spotlight them so I feel like I already know the answer lol....but what are the thoughts on Terminators in a WE list?
Wait. So CHARACTER gets conferred onto the Attached unit??
correct they get the character keyword, Keywords get conferred to the unit they attach to
This is a really great breakdown
Made a meme list I played a few weeks back.
Angron, Invocatus
MoE with Glaive
Juggerlord with Favoured
2 units of 5 zerkers
3 units of 3 Eightbound
1 6 man Exalted 8bound
Land Raider
Spawn
The perceptive players will know why this list is funny.
My opponent lost because he spent the opening turns fighting off the Angron and (Invocatus + 3 eightbound unit) turn 1 charges and didn't have time to score.
Also Defilers looks Better on paper next to maulerfiends imo, 35 points more gets you a bit more durability and a lot more offensive power
Point reduction is a must.
Your master of executions is awsome where did you get it from

I think people are sleeping on giving the Berzerker Glaive to a generic Lord on Juggernaut; the bonus attacks and damage get applied to his regular attacks plus the extra attacks from the juggernauts horn!
i think the size of the game should decide how much dices you roll per battle round bcs it feels op in 500pt but really minor in 3000pt range
At this point we need an update on how to play World Eaters into Orkz. It feels like the release of the Orkz codex has just straight up invalidated World Eaters as a faction. Now we're even struggling into CSM.
I’m glad I’m not the only one thinking they are very points costly 😂
How to play Dark Angels please😊
WE are unfortunately too expensive points wise. Also you are basically forced to bring a few Rhinos or Land Raiders. I know that's to be expected but at the end of 9th it was easier to just run a full infantry army (at least it felt like it).
Hi where did you get your master of execution model from
FINALLY!!!..... I hope Steve's doing this one 🌎 😈
Steve is indeed in this ;) I know you've been waiting for this one dude, can't wait to hear your thoughts
Great to see a non-Angron list, but still feel like the faction has been balanced around him as an auto-take.
Aside from MoE, Angron is really the only solid unit in the index. Everything is subpar and overcosted.
That's why we wanted to make a list without him and I think if you do the Daemon Prince on foot is your solution but Angron is fantastic for sure and. see what your saying :)
@@woahhbro2906and even angron is subpar compared to most other primarchs and even things like the avatar of khaine.
@@popkhorne5372 Very true. Most people focus on Angron's revive ability, but they always forget Gulliman revives on a 2+ lol
Why did they get rid of blood tithes? World Eaters are limited as it is and they took even more away.
What about the out of phase rule
OUT-OF-PHASE RULES
Some rules allow a model or unit to move, shoot, charge or fight
outside of the normal turn sequence. For example, the Fire
Overwatch Stratagem enables a unit to shoot in the opponent’s turn
as if it were your Shooting phase. When using out-of-phase rules to
perform an action as if it were one of your phases, you cannot use
any other rules that are normally triggered in that phase.
Great suggestion! We will get the army on the channel soon with the updated list so you can see it in action
Would love to hear your ideas behind it
youre a tourist for sure
Besides keeping your zerks alive, disembarking gives you 3"
@@oojimmy52 Ok cool thanks, so there's no charge after disembark ability from WE that I'm missing?
@@MisterF946 if the rhino doesn't move they can disembark move and charge
(World eater vs black templar "with a dreadnought")
My lord invocatus and beserk went hard on his infantry but his mech has that" that -1 wound from chainaxe " .
Where to get that Master of Execution model
Age of Sigmar SLAUGHTERPRIEST WITH HACKBLADE AND WRATH-HAMMER.
Sorry for caps, copied and pasted from games workshop.
What about Dark Angels?
This one will be on the way soon, its one of the last ones we have Scheduled but its deffo coming mate :D
Is this actually live?
I get that angron is good amongst world eater units, but in the meta he is... meh.
bruh what

Where the hell is Kharn! 😤😤😤😤😤
Well at least they are better than Deth Guard..disgustingly....slow
@@inzo7856 World Eaters actually have the same winrate as Death Guard. They sometimes reach 1 or 2% better, but they're about equal.
They're really not very good.
