Hi brother, I hope you're doing well. My question is: Suppose I'm using a multi-stage regulator for an oxygen cylinder. Is it compulsory to use a multi-stage regulator for an acetylene cylinder, or can I use a single-stage regulator on an acetylene cylinder?

Hi, No you don't need to use the same type of Regulator on both cylinders.
So you could have a Multi Stage Oxygen Regulator and Single Stage Acetylene Regulator on the same rig. This would also apply for an Oxy/Propane or Propylene set up.
      Hope that helps
      Cheers Graham

The two gages are supposed to show the pressure inside the tank and the output pressure correct?

Hi Samer, thanks for the question.
One Gauge does indeed show the Cylinder Pressure (pressure inside the tank), the other will show either Output Pressure OR Gas Flow Rate, depending on the Gas.
Oxygen, Acetylene and Propane Regulators have an output Gauge that shows Output Pressure.
Argon Regulators have an Output Gauge that shows Gas Flow Rate.
      Hope that helps
      Best regards
      Graham
