  • This is a training video on Two Stage Regulator for understanding how it works and why the Delivery Pressure Remains constant in a Two Stage Regulator when the cylinder pressure varies (Drops) due to Consumption on contrary to Single Stage Regulator

    If I have an open ended piece of tubing connected to the regulator outlet, I'm assuming I won't get any reading on the outlet pressure gauge, i.e. it will remain at zero, but the inlet pressure gauge will still register pressure from the supply cylinder, unless it is empty. Is this correct? Thanks. Good video!

    What happens to the mass flow rate in a dual stage regulator when it maintains a constant delivery pressure , however the cylinder pressure keeps on decreasing

    Good video. One question - I'm unclear why the pressure in the high pressure chamber does not equilibrate with the intermediate pressure chamber. Does the valve stem automatically close when the set pressure in the low pressure chamber is reached?

    • @kenmitchell9874
      @kenmitchell9874 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The reason the high pressure chamber does not equilibrium to the intermediate chamber is the same as for a single stage pressure regulator. The force against the diaphragm along with the force against the valve stem which is not observed in the intermediate pressure chamber closes the high pressure chamber from the intermediate pressure chamber. Then you have the exact same concept stacked on top of the high pressure to low pressure regulator in order to drop the pressure to the low pressure chamber. Think about a single regulator in his first video. You just continuously stack these on top of each other until you get the pressure you desire if you are coming from EXTREMELY high pressure to low pressure.

    If you want to have music in the background, and it appears you do, can you please reduce the volume to about 10% of your narration volume? And please change it to something that doesn't sound like it came from a 1920's silent film comedy.

    Also at 3:58 the video shows downward arrow for gas pressure on first stage diaphragm, but narrator and caption say "upward force". Video is still very helpful, though, thank you again.

    Does a two stage regulator by definition have two gauges?
    Can you have a dual stage regulator with one gauge?
    Thanks

    • @aneeranalytics9146
      @aneeranalytics9146  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for the query. The answer is NO, though it normally has. Single and Two Stage does not have any relation to the number of Pressure Gauges but the number of stages in which the cylinder pressure gets reduced to working pressure. And Yes, if you want you can have a two stage regulator with One Gauge also.

    Very helpful videos, thank you very much. A minor correction to be made: at 1:29, the caption and narrator say "downward force", but the video shows an upward arrow.

      It's a very nice video, but the middle bit is completely wrong. The transient internal chamber will DROP in pressure as the bottle is deplted, not rise. There are two incorrect comments made where two wrongs made a right. One mistake per stage. A drop in supply pressure will cause a drop in down-stream pressure for each stage. The drop after the second stage is minimised by having two stages, but not eliminated.

    • @aneeranalytics9146
      @aneeranalytics9146  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Supply pressure at First Stage will first increase with the diminishing cylinder pressure as the same in a single stage regulator and finally will drop. That's the beauty. We request you to check it practically.

    It would help if you had a few labels in the video because your terminology requires that people remember it for the whole 8 minutes. Labeling in the video will help people follow along with the explanations much easier.

    One of the first things I learned when I started making graphs was to label my axes. If you can make a video describing the operation of a pressure reg, surely you can label your goddamn graphs appropriately.

    Appears as though I'm missing out on something I'm really interested in knowing but I could only tolerate 3 mins of the annoying up and down background noise. Using the mute button sacrifices the dialog which shortchanges the presentation.

    I can't watch these videos for the constant distraction of the music .. the subtitles scroll so jammed up I can't follow them well, when I mute the sound .. so I don't watch them anymore .. that's a shame, because looks like someone went to some trouble to make a nice presentation. Lose the stupid music.
