They had a bad break up and the truth about her clearly made her the villain, but she used to jump back and forth between clean and harsh vocals and that is what made me enjoy her stuff back then (listen to “Thank You Pain”). I guess you can say she was the Tatiana before Tatiana, but I think Tatiana is better…and much nicer to the fans and her band mates. However, if you want the best growler, the vocalist before her, Angela Gossow, is the queen of metal that makes every atom in you shake (I saw her live). Anywho, I am happy she has once again shown her range from angel to demon. As a guy, I think there is something fascinating when you have a beautiful woman that can growl better than many of the boys. Years ago, this kind of metal was only supposed to be from men, but these amazing ladies kicked those doors down and demanded the respect they deserved. I bet you already know this band, but probably my favorite female metal vocalist is Maria Brink from In This Moment. If you haven’t listened to her, she is a goddess and actually sings one of my favorite songs. It can be pretty heart wrenching, but it is nothing less than beyond beautiful and I hope I can experience that song when I die.

She does it well, but I'll always prefer the melodic parts. In any case, thank you, glad to see you back and you always bring the most interesting stuff to listen to!
