Speaking of Ivan Reitman, how about a video on his 1993 film, Dave? I actually think it’s his best film, yes better than Ghostbusters. It’s really under appreciated with a Frank Capra-esque story
He caught a fish this big.
Twins is such a fun, wholesome, delightful film. Arnold and Danny DeVito were both great in the film and honestly I think what made the movie work was the underlying level of sweetness to it. Yes, it was funny, but the touching story to it made it such a wholesome film. Great 80s film.
Good movie it was funny and dramatic at some parts when their reunited with their mother was heartwarming
The Penguin and Mr. Freeze are brothers!!!
Twins.
“ When You’re Twins! The Magic Just Never Ends “!
Loved Twins. Surprisingly heartfelt and touching too.
This was a funny movie, Arnie and Danny really should have been in more comedies like this, though they did make Junior six years later.
I thought the movie was just alright. It was good seeing the 2 work together, as they had great chemistry
To me, it’s a road trip comedy to put alongside the vacation movies with Chevy Chase, planes trains and automobiles, midnight run, etc.
Fun story about this movie: This movie was released while my parents were dating & they saw it together. Well, some time later they were at a party playing pictionary (the game where you have 60 seconds to draw a picture & guess what it is) & my mom was given the word "twins." So, she drew the image of Arnold & Danny posing like in the movie poster & no one (not even my dad) guessed that was what the image was supposed to be. It's a story that almost 40 years later still gets told at parties, family gatherings, & anytime we see a movie with Arnold or Danny in it.
Good fun movie to watch the chemistry between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny Devito. It was great, and the ending when their reunited with their mom was heartwarming
I know the focus of the movie is Arnold Schwarzenegger doing a comedy, but I actually thought Danny DeVito was the best part of Twins
That's probably because even though he still played the lovable scumbag, he showed a lot of range. For instance, the research lab scene where he's told Arnold was supposed to be the perfect human specimen and he's the leftovers. His reaction is heartfelt.
this movie was a smash hit--ah yes the movie where 9-year-old me learned what a "virgin" is ....and still learning 😂🤣
Tonight is your night bro....
I'm a 52 year old virgin
Still learning
TWINS is my favorite Arnold Schwarzenegger film Ivan Reitman is one of the most underrated and underappreciated directors in the 80s
alongside John Hughes this and Ghostbusters will be the films he will be remembered for
Also Kindergarten Cop
Thank You Joblo For This Video
You Are Awesome
Yakety yak, don’t talk back
I love the movie itself, but i love the behind the scenes shenanigans even more. For instance, the part where the deal was written on a napkin.
Or the fact that Devito and Arnold made bank on this movie. Or that both of them were competing with Hulk Hogan and Christopher Lloyd for scripts. The former got Twins, the latter got Suburban Commando. Which could have been a good movie in its own right, but Hogan freaking sucks at acting.
1:23 - You are lucky you never saw Cactus Jack. Where he plays the Roadrunner.
Twins was family entertainment back in those days, when all of the family could watch a movie. I enjoyed it, and my mum did too.
movies in the likes of Twins and A Knight's Tale seem bonkers to do because they have a weird combination of elements that on paper alone seem like a long shot. by some miracles of, i don't know, great chemistry among the cast and director, great set environments, etc. everything just sort of clicked and worked.
i'm glad that they didn't have a sequel because i don't think the magic can be replicated.
The answer is Arnold got old and...well I feel like Danny could still get it done. He's gotten funnier as the decades pass
I heard there were plans to do a sequel but it was awhile ago. Those guys still keep in touch and work together for charity events and stuff.
But Dumber and dumber proved you can't recreate that magic with old men. No matter how much we want it
Twins was the best movie that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito ever made with the late Ivan Reitman who directed movies like ghostbusters 1 and 2, stripes, Dave, kindergarten cop, Father’s Day, six days and seven nights, etc. To me, I grew up watching it along with wise guys with Danny DeVito.
I've always enjoyed Twins. While it's not as good as some of Reitman's other movies I feel that some of the critical reviews are a bit harsh. I can still remember watching this movie for the first time when it premiered on UK Television. I watched it with my parents and we all had a good time with it. I would say it's worth watching for the performances of the two leads alone.
Video needs more clips of Kelly Preston wearing a nightie on all fours
RIP Ivan Reitman
This and Ghostbusters he be remembered for.
One of my favorite movies from my childhood.

I read years ago that they were working on a sequel called Triplets. Eddie Murphy would play their 3rd brother. Arnie was really exciter to do it.
Arnie & Danny being twins somehow is a hard sell, lol, but somehow worked! It's actually a great movie, with a happy ending, that although cheesy, still works. No need for a sequel, as the happy ending wrapped everything up pretty well. Where would they even go, with a plot, for a sequel, after all these years, anyways?? R.I.P. Ivan Reitman, & Kelly Preston.
0:55 😂I watched that movie when I was like 7 years old.
That scene, holy shhit.. 😫
Good movie & this introduced Me to the Late beautiful Kelly Preston as a kid.
I feel that everybody becoming a critic is what happened to movies. We gave the studios ammo to say "no" to ideas by making it so easy to find a bunch of people online hating on any similar concept. They can't even make a movie for kids (See Minecraft trailer) without the world trying to pad their pockets by saying something six months out from release is "like, SoOoOoOo TeRrIbLe". they already don't want to invest in new ideas.
"Some things just weren't made for me" is becoming an outdated turn of phrase somehow. its wild.
This was a fun movie.
I Can’t Wait to see a spirited sequel to Twins, Brothers starring Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage.
heard was going to be a sequel with Arnold and Danny but the death of Ivan nixed that plan
@@goodwood-rc4nx I Agreed, But someone made a spirited sequel to Twins with Different Cast, Yes it was Brothers starring Josh Brolin and Peter Dinklage.
They were going to do that, but Peter, always the upstanding man, insisted that it be a CGI dwarf.
Can't believe an English man could recap Twins without any love showing for JEFF BECK in the bar band
Arnold starred in the Villain which was a comedy with Kirk Douglass. So he did star in an intended comedy before this.
I remember being in Pizza Hut waiting go and see red heat i was looking at the magazine the cinema gave out and Arnold next film was twins excited to know the film having my favourite actress Kelly Preston had to wait until Easter 1989 to go and see twins
Back then, I always wanted to see a sequel to twins if Eddie Murphy was going to play the third brother of Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Julius and Danny Devito’s Vincent and that would have been cool because it made me think of the golden child with Eddie Murphy and the tagline, Eddie Murphy is the chosen one. But after coming to America 2, Eddie was busy so instead they got Tracy Morgan instead which I didn’t think was a good idea because he’s not that well known unlike Eddie who is more famous than him. But when Ivan reitman died along with Kelly Preston it was for the best for Ivan’s son Jason to cancel the project. Personally I think Arnold and Danny should do another movie together whether it would be a Batman movie in which they played their iconic villains Mr Freeze and the penguin, or a similar action comedy like twins but also like wise guys meets raw deal. Since they’ve both done gangster movies.
Twins was the 2nd movie I saw in theaters. I loved it then and I enjoyed showing to my kids a few years ago. But it should remain a standalone film. We need to get back to letting imaginations take center stage rather then rehashing OG’s from the 80’s and 90’s.
Alough a western, I feel The Villain is a great comedy with Arnold as one of the stars.
There's no good writers anymore. Everything is offensive nowadays.
“Go woke, go broke.”
Maybe try not getting offended and being a ❄️?😊
Watch better media or recognize that you're too sensitive.
@@blakelyhall8191 Yep, the limits have been pushed a lot in recent decades, but there's still plenty out there that's not going to offend.
Yeah, I hate how things are today everyone gets so offended by everything. It is super gay and retarded how offended people get.
Compared to all the unfunny dreck of today, Twins was a masterpiece of feel-good comedy.
3 out of 5 is perfect for this. Funny and really unquie but not the best thing produced
The first movie I saw in a theater
Such an amazing and cute feelgood movie!
It has EVERYTHING that movies lacks today!
Heart, and zero wokeness!
❤
You can upset as many people as you like... as long as the majority find it funny. The minute you lose that, you've essentially 'fallen off the tightrope'. That's the risk/reward of edgy comedy, knowing where the line is and knowing how much you can step over it and get away with it. Some comedians for example, have lost their sense of where that line is, and they know it, so knowing they've lost that sense makes them lose their nerve, and instead they complain that 'everyone's too sensitive/pc/woke nowadays blah blah'... Nope. You just don't have the courage to push the envelope anymore and you can't admit it, because it'd mean your career is over. Blaming 'woke' is pure cope
The answer is simple: Social Media.
Adam Walton serves one purpose at WhatCulture-Ellie is no longer the absolute WORST presenter, one whose terrible, charm-free delivery ruins Every video they narrate
Ain't no way those guys are 35
Truly original ideas are dead in Hollywood in favour of remakes, franchises and reboots. The latter is much safer from a bean counter perspective
More like a JoBoomer original.
Twins 4k please......Arrow ...Anyone.
Shout! Factory did release Twins on Blu-Ray they should do a 4K of it.
A wonderful movie, one of a kind, brilliant duo - a perfect comedy! Woke freaks banned and killed comedy.
Less liberal
End-stage capitalism.
It’s why ALL commercial-art sucks now
I was 19yo when Twins came out and most of my friends and I shook our heads when we saw it. It's ok to forget that some movies ever existed.
Woke shite happened. I haven't watched a new movie in years. The world has changed for the worse, especially where entertainment is concerned. The internet has been a massive negative in that regard.
I love how you compare this movie to a classic such as Dumb and Dumber! This is why nobody listens to you anymore! 😂😱👎🏼
