Hi Mam, one Q. In case if a stakeholder is unhappy about the timeliness of the communication or report and shares his grief to Pm. What should be the 1. Best thing to do ( Should we look at the communication plan and see if the frequency to share the report is actually there as per stakeholder grief? Or 2. Next thing to do is send the report immediately and then follow answer 1.
    Thanks for your Answer.

I really enjoy your videos. I learn a lot from them, and you present the content very clearly. I must point out that your board contains an error that really distracted me. When you talk about the cues that misalignment has occurred, the word on the board is the homophone "queues" and that is the wrong word. Cues. Not Queues. Thanks for helping me in my learning journey.

I have to disagree with Jennifer's definition of stakeholders. According to the Project Management Institute (PMI), the term project stakeholder refers to, "an individual, group, or organization, who may affect, be affected by, or perceive itself to be affected by a decision, activity, or outcome of a project". This can include outside contractors, union groups, end users, government and public authorities, shareholders, protestors, and the like. The collection of stakeholders on a project typically is much larger than just those "that you answer to" or are contained in the project charter. I think what Jennifer should have said is that "key stakeholders" are typically those that you answer to and/or are included in the charter or project plan.

As a consequence ,I am truly appreciated for her know how and much more

Theoritically, it's correct according to PMBOK and PMI principles. However practically, if you take into account all those people as stakeholders, you may not be able to manage expectations of all and fail the project. You need to keep a concise list of stakeholders who you are directly accountable to, those stakeholders can then manage their subordinates and convey their expectations/requirements.

Our project management teacher also recommended for stakeholder analysis to only choose those that project manager directly speaks to and is in a close contact with. Our teacher has been a pm for a large automotive manufacturer.

    Hi!
Isn't it the stakeholder register that identifies stakeholders' roles and responsibilities, and impact on projects?
