Excited for my 9 pro (non xl) coming in a couple weeks!
Aye
Same but who in the google company had that stupid idea to deliver the 9 Pro a month after the other two models
Mine is here. Just received it about 4 days ago in NY. It's perfect. And feels so good to be on a small (ish. because this was considered huge when the galaxy notes first came out) Pro level Pixel phone. It could be smaller. But it's much better than the how humongously huge the 6P - 8P was. You can ask me any questions if you'd like!
💯🕶️💜
@@mackmccord3743I plan to switch from my iPhone back to Android and I’m stuck on deciding getting the Pixel 9 Pro or a Samsung, everyone is bashing on the pixel 9 on performance. So my question is how is it when it comes to performance? Also how is the phone overall at handling the basics?
Thank you for your honesty throughout the video. It's very refreshing to get a realistic day to day use scenario review, and not talk about gaming and other features that only roughly 1% of the users use and what the other 99% do not really care about. The 1% seem to complain about the same insignificant specs that in everyday use will not mean much!
Exactly. Everyone acts like people are playing AAA games at 200 fps with ray tracing and DLS active all the time. They browse social media, text, and make calls 95% of the time
@@kebby8251 Bro its not the dumb gaming.. phone is just not there yet!
Forget how inferior the chip is for gaming, it is inferior for series of snappy shots , the more u press the more it starts to lag cuz tensor is garbage.
Also ... slow storage memory means all the 4k and 8k photos/ videos will have double or even tripple the time being uploaded and downloaded.
Last ,but not least... lost identity and trying way 2 much to look like an iphone which i have as a second phone.
Charging premium, but using bad chip which can be felt not just in dumb gaming or even more dumb benchmarking but u can when dealing with heavy apps and 4/8k file transfer and camera operations.
I am sorry the phone is very very good, but when u charge as much as apple or samsung u better provide the best possible in every possible phone part.
I understand that next year when TSMC start to make their tensor the game will be different, but now its bad and why the inferior storage speeds again ?
I didn't warm to my Pro XL at first coming from a S22 Ultra but now i love it
I’m in the same situation. I have a s22 ultra, and I’m thinking of getting the pixel 9 pro xl. But idk if it’s a good idea or if it’s worth it.
@@EBraz it's totally worth it , I bought it as it's on a cheaper tariff too
held off on s24 ultra for the s25 ultra.. but pixel finally figured it out I might just have to have both
@@EBrazyou will love it. Pixel is a different yet more complete and useful experience. Unlike the galaxy phones. Myself being an owner of the P6P, P8P, P9P, s23 and s23u. The Pixel phones and experience is much better and you will be very happy. Especially the fact that you don't have to figure out which app is the right one to use. Between text, email, app stores, calendar. It's very annoying a confusing using a galaxy phone. Then you have to update apps on two different apps stores and then also good lock..
You will love the Pixel Experience and will not miss your Samsung phone..
Go for it!

As a Liverpool fan, I almost unsubscribed based on that jersey. But you have suffered enough. That said, I love my Pixel 9 XL. And great review.

As a Man Utd fan and Member as well the way they are playing at the moment it's best just to talk about phones. And I too have the Pixel 9 XL!
Great review as always
I appreciate that
People say you are not supposed to let your charge go below 20% and Stop charging at 80%
Do you follow it??
I used that kind of method to maintain the battery interval and battery health. That method is to lessen more heat on your battery because the more your battery overheats the more it degrades
People who do that need mental help, why buy something then proceed to treat it like a a fragile baby that gonna get hurt with minor stuff like slight battery overheating or whatever. Just use it and don't worry 😂
Turn on adaptive battery and enjoy the phone
I appreciate how genuine and honest you are with your opinions-great review! I'm curious, what do you use as your daily driver?
Thanks for watching. Right now it's the 9 Pro XL
Thanks for your honest review of the P9ProXL.
When I am out of my TMobile plan next year June I will definitely get the P9ProXL.
It looks like a tremendous phone.
I now use the P7Pro which I like very much, even in 2024!
The new ones only can get even better, innit?
I do not care a shiny sh*te about most AI features either but the Pixels are so damn smooth, you have got to give credits to Google for that.
At least I do.
Bro i love your footy top as well as your review
In this video, Call Me KJ does a Pixel 9 Pro XL review after one month of usage. Overall, he thinks it is a great phone with some minor flaws. Here are the key points from the video:
* Design: The Pixel 9 Pro XL has an ergonomic design that is comfortable to hold. It is made of glass with a soft matte finish on the back. It is slightly heavier than the Pixel 8 Pro but not the heaviest phone out there. However, it scratches easily so a case is recommended.
* Display: The display is a 6.8 inch screen with an adjustable refresh rate that goes from 1 to 120 Hz. It is very bright at 3,000 nits, making it easy to see even in bright sunlight.
* Fingerprint sensor: The Pixel 9 Pro XL now has an ultrasonic fingerprint reader which is faster and more secure than the fingerprint sensor on the Pixel 8 Pro.
* Battery life: The battery capacity is slightly higher than the Pixel 8 Pro and will easily get you through the day on a single charge. It supports fast charging with a 45W charger, but the reviewer only achieved 0 to 30% in about an hour and it took an hour to process video.
* Performance: The Pixel 9 Pro XL is powered by the Tensor G4 chip. The reviewer found it to be very responsive and snappy for everyday tasks.
* Camera: The Pixel 9 Pro XL has the same camera specs as the Pixel 8 Pro, including a 50 megapixel wide-angle lens, a 48 megapixel ultrawide lens, and a telephoto lens. The camera takes great pictures, especially for people of color, but the video recording is not as good. It shoots in 8K but requires video boost to look good, which requires extra steps and takes a long time to process.
* Software: The Pixel 9 Pro XL comes with Android 14 with the August security updates. It has 16 GB of RAM and several new AI features, including Pixel Studio, Magic Eraser, and LaMDA. The reviewer has not used any of the new AI features yet.
* Conclusion: The Pixel 9 Pro XL is a great phone with a comfortable design, a bright display, a fast fingerprint sensor, long battery life, and a great camera. However, the video recording is not as good as the still photos and it has some software quirks.
I hope this summary is helpful!
Hi KJ
I absolutely love my 9 Pro XL, only issue is it won't wireless charge in a case and tried 3 cases, fine without. Otherwise fab fab fab, thanks for this! 😊❤
Buy a case that has that magsafe ring on it, I suggest buying from big brands like dbrand or Spigen or many other, they might be pricey but worth it
Especially dbrand, I don't use one but I've seen many people recommend it
Bro, you can't be taken seriously with triple man UTD in your FPL team
The only two things I like about my pixel 9 pro is the new fingerprint scanner and the speakers. Scrolling through webpages and the Google feed and TH-cam still slow and not as smooth as iPhone or Samsung kind of disappointed.😩
I think it's a great phone. If you are going to jump use the phone for its ai features. Don't buy it because you will be bored.
I enjoy the phone for its user experience.
Funny to see my comment in the video😂
Lmao after coming for me
My 9 pro XL has been really impressive, but the video quality has really disappointed me. Can be choppy and missing frames. Video boost is great but take so long and like you said you have to remember every time to turn it on. Also this week I have noticed my BT headphones (galaxy buds pro2) don't sync correctly, always out of sync. Have no idea why this is happening. Worked fine at the start.
Great video. 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽.
1. I am using a 45W charger for my 9pro XL and bro it never took 1 hr to charge to 100%. I can't even remember my Pixel 4XL taking 1 hr to charge
2. What is the point of getting a new phone if you don't remember to use the feature that comes with it.
I use Gemini alot, from summarize pages to setting up tasks and identifying emails that I haven't responded to (only work on Gmail tho). I always shoot videos on 8K because that is one of the reasons why I got the phone.
The only features I haven't used so far is the screenshot and it's because I never really use the screenshot but I guess it will work better for people who are maybe fashion designers or personal shoppers who need to take a lot of screenshots.
Overall, you need to intentionally use features that come with your phone.
Thanks for watching but Don't necessarily agree with this take. I think a new feature should have seamless integration that you don't have to remember to use it. Almost like it's part of the everyday use. If it doesn't affect my daily use I don't remember to use it.
@@CallMeKJOS I get your point, your pixel Camera does not shoot portrait by default, you have to switch the mode to Portrait. Your video starts at 30fps 4k. You have to switch it to taking 60fps 4k which will disable HDR. My point is, there are a lot of features and you need to select what you want.
This is GREAT PHONE! I can't stop it
when its £300 then i upgrade from pixel 7

Interesting video, thank you, my question is: what advantage does this phone have over the S24 ultra?
Honestly? Not much. The only reason why anyone should get this isn't even the AI features. It's just the overall experience. It's get very good
@@CallMeKJOS is the overall experience that better than one ui?
@@nasserjabi for me it is. But then again, mobile experience is very subjective. You'll have to try it to determine yourself
Im currently planning to trade my IP 15pm to a pixel 9 pro xl should I go for it.
I currently have pixel 7 pro as backup
Wait till next year, especially if you take alot of videos
Word on the street is that next year will be when the performance on pixel gets that big jump
I am thinking about either the Pixel or the Galaxy Ultra, but the Ultra seems like the better deal outside of the US. Atm there doesn't seem to be the printscreen app here, nor most other AI features on the Pixel. We will probably never get the call recorder or the one that answers calls for you. So then it just seems like the Ultra has a lot more features. What reasons are there to pick the Pixel over the Ultra?
I like the samsung s24 ultra, but its huge boxy and pointy edges design makes me want to get the pixel 9 pro xl instead.
@@Mark-ez2xb true. I was thinking a case would probably make them more similar anyways
How can I get that background?
uhm ultrawide has different specs than pixel 8 pro so its not the same hardware behind as the 8. Apart from the selfie cam that also has different specs than last year. Also the telephoto has a better sensor and makes much better photos when zooming in 10x or 15x or 20x etc... than the 8 pro. Do your research bro
I have definitely used pixel studio And it's pretty awesome. It's one that you guys will appreciate. The truth is it keeps you off of the death. Scroll because you can sit there and create all of these pictures that just come out of your mind. You can't draw them but the AI can so it's pretty amazing. So in effect you get rid of the mindless death scroll which isn't good for your brain and your open Pixel studio and get imaginative and creative. It's by far the most underrated feature of the pixel 9 pro XL
Not sure if u were asked this in previous videos, I think the 45 watts charging speeds actually work if you use third party 45 watts chargers. 🤔🤔🤔
@@PoweroftheMorphinGrid bro, I've used every 3rd charger you can think of. Doesn't work
I will wait for one plus 13 or 13R pixel went up to high on price
No Haaland? That's a shame :D
Hey can you recommend me a phone between pixel 9 Pro xl and Honor magic 6 pro
I need good camera battery performance and I am going to use it long term. I consume a lot of content
Thanks in advance
Does this phone over heat? My iPhone 15 pro max over heats a lot.
Your experience is very telling, this phone can do what $200 phones can do perfectly. However, when it comes to executing the AI features that Google uses to sell these phones the Tensor chip shows it's weakness. A $1000 phone shouldn't have this issue and don't get me started on 128gb base storage. This is an overpriced premium midrange phone at best.
Meanwhile I'm still waiting for my 9 pro to come 😢
