Agreed! I love my bearing knives too but most days I carry one of these. I sand a lot of floors, drywall, and clean a lot of rentals. The holy trinity perfect for my daily jobs💯
I finally learned what it takes to join the holy trinity of knife making- 1. Your knives can't be capable of flipping open so fast that they might offend or scare someone. 2. Your knives have to be capable of prying with the tip. 3. Washers, not bearings. You might want to think about taking this down.
I never owned a hinderer in my life and in the matter of just a couple weeks I’ve now owned 4. 3 of which I still have. I absolutely love them. Also in regard to the big 3 .. it’s like saying all of a sudden the Beatles led zeppelin and Black Sabbath aren’t relevant anymore because there just so old and outdated. No. They are the pioneers of rock/hard rock and heavy-metal , nothing is going to change that..
I think this is a good video and a good point. People get deceived by price and automatically think BS like more expensive is better and higher tolerances lol.
Great take on the trinity. Definitely were the leaders of production knives. Others have come and gone but all 3 are still making right in our country.

Ive had Striders, CRKs, and Hinderers. Loved the CRK and Strider. Something about the Hinderers ive owned just wasnt my thing. The build quality was great and they looked nice, but they werent incredibly sharp and something about the ergos just isnt right for my hands. I definitely prefer washers like you said, they just have a smoother feel overall. Bearings have an odd feel to me sometimes. Just got my hands on a full size MKT Marauder and its prolly my favorite knife ive had so far.

Your are correct everyone has their favorites, but I think there’s room for a lot of new players in the game. Maybe now it’s the “ Big 10”, for me I have yet to find a knife that tops my Curtis Custom F3, and I’ve handled quite a few blades. Also it does Depend on what you were going to do with the knife, is it EDC, work, or pocket jewelry. Either way it’s all good, and I’d like to hear other reviewer’s opinions on this topic as well.

They aren’t bad but don’t think they were ever considered in the original Trinity

Ya I found the xm24 was more comfortable over the 18. Man I love the marauder it has great ergos.
How did the Medford carry go and did you ever get to the AD20?

Ya I don’t think anyone has to be demoted. Just ad more to the group and everyone wins. I just like having the choice of what I get to carry.

CRKs have always struck me as more edc friendly than hard use, though I’m sure they can take the abuse.
Ya out of the 3 they are the more edc or gentlemens carry version of the 3. But they can take the abuse
