  • How to fix and adjust the kickstand on most e-bikes. use to be a RV channel, until I found e-bikes, that changed my life. I love everything about e-bikes and vlogging e-bike content. E-bike education and how to fix or repair e-bikes and of course riding them. My goal is to make videos educational, fun, motivational and entertaining. I make video content for my own enjoyment, as a hobby. Remember I am an amateur not a professional so please excuse some less than perfect editing. My videos now have a primary focus on e-bikes, because there is so much great content with reviews, accessories, riding and vlogging about those rides.

Ha! I love it that your "kickstand" video has you using your foot to hold up the bike! That's truly having you "kick" that bike to stand, now isn't it? :). Keep up the good work.

No one around to help me Russ. I was surprised I held it up as goos as I did. LOL. This was a big question on the Magicycle live event last week.

Bruce, you're a mindreader! (I was going to suggest doing a video of how to adjust the kickstand last week, but didn't get around to doing it because of Christmas shopping.)

5:35 time mark: Bike lean angle. Reading through the literature, it looks like the general recommendation is 10° to 15° from vertical (maximum 25°). It varies from bike to bike, because each bike's center of gravity differs.
Bikes should be set up with a comfortable lean angle: not too little and not too much. It will be obvious if the lean angle is too much. Less obvious is too little of a lean angle (near vertical), where the bike will tend to fall away from the kickstand side.

I haven't yet adjusted the kickstand for my Ocelot Pro. It came from the factory with about a 20° to 25° lean angle. I'll try out my new handlebar jacks when I make the adjustment.

It makes sense to do it. Who kows they are adjustable...Pretty smart of them to make it that way though.

The kick stand pinched my finger one time while loading it up on the truck rack. Made a huge blood blister

Blood Blisters are the worst. Especially big ones.

Any way to put the plastic slider back on if you accidentally removed the adjusting bolt all the way? I don't see a nut inside and the bolt won't grab anything.

Mur, I am not sure but if it came off it has to have a way to put it back on. I kicked one off and lost it because I was not paying attention on a ride. Wish I fond it as I would have a n answer for you. Sorry my friend.

I have a fat tire 20" wheel. Having a hard time finding a kickstand short enough. What size wheel is on your bike

I tried every tool it came with on that screw, then gave up, assuming it was a rivet. I got two JASION E-bikes and both fall over to the right with a calm breeze. I didn’t try MY OWN tools. Why would they not provide what the bike requires???

I think your talking abouut the kickstand screw. Its probubly provided, but the tools provided are cheap. I have had some tools from ebike makes that were complete garbage and went to use my own smame size allen like a 4mm or 5mm whast worked with my tool. Besides crappy tools I think that bike might be the best bang for the buck bike.

@@RVEnthusiast Yes. The screw that they put in the worst spot. Not visible without laying down on the opposite side and using a flashlight to see what kinda head it has. I got one of the two off, and it turns out…that’s as high as I can get it. Leaving the foot off puts it at the perfect height. I probably will cut the length off myself so I can put the rubber foot back on…which seemingly will be a nightmare, as the threaded part on the inside is a loose piece of metal…that actually fell down and got stuck inside the foot. I had to use a chopstick

Yep I remember trying to adjust sever kickstands and it so dumb. THey should make it with like spring pin to set different hights. I have a Rattan that leans way over right now. Don't want to get on the floor to fix it.@@Esteem_Boat_Willy
