When I first started chatting with my fiance a little over a year ago she looked too skinny. Now a year later she has put on a few kilos and looks much healthier. In the province they don't eat meat every day like we do in the West. I tell her that she has to buy it for the boy and her. I even bought her 3 baby baboy to raise so she has something to do until I return in a few months. One became food for the fiesta recently and paid for the 3 pigs and gave them a lot of baboy to eat. So I recouped my initial investment and we have a lechon baboy for the upcoming birthday of the son.
People in the west, especially the US, are extremely unhealthy because of their overly indulgent diets. It isn’t necessary and can be bad to have meat everyday or every meal. I’ve noticed a bad habit of people from the US judging people as too skinny, because it threatens their own outlook on health. In most cases, it’s actually Americans who need to change, not the rest of the world.
Filipinos love meat. In my experience they can make a meal out of any kind of meat and not suffer health wise.
@@salcorbit6330 I travelled to Colombia and it is similar there. I never realized how much meat I consume daily. I’m not making any judgements health wise, but living there for 3 months I dropped weight without even trying. I attribute it to the heat, and the fact that my dinner plate was not 80% meat like at home. It is not that they don’t consume or enjoy meat, it is that we definitely eat at least 5x the portion size from what I saw there
Can't you mail order kielbasa or smoked sausage or the like? It's very tasty. Great added to Ramen noodles 🍜 or probably any dish. 😊
