I bought one and it has very rolled off bass. I'm surprised you didn't notice it. The bottom octave from 25Hz to 50Hz is very weak. Maybe it depends on the actual load it drives, but with my Ziigaat Cincotres it's very obvious. Midrange and treble are OK.
In the end i had to get the FOSI AUDIO K5 MINI PRO to work with my Switch Lite, the ibasso DC03 Pro wouldn't work with it, i'm using Simgot EM6L with Tripowin Moonshadow cable and Dunu S&S eartips and QED Connect type C and headphone extension cable and it all sounds surprisingly good together, once i turned the bass up slightly and turned the treble down a bit everything sounded how it should sound. Looking forward to Tomb Raider 1 2 and 3 remasters physical release coming out October 18th now👍
@@VortexReviews1 No, i used the Soundblaster X1 dac dongle before i bought the Fosi, Simgot EM6L are 26ohm and needed more power to sound right for gaming, only negative is a bit bright beyer dt990 type brightness you can only turn the treble down and bass up a bit or it doesn't sound right, i have 3 soundblasters the G6 with my pc with AKGK712 and the GC7 with my Xbox Series S with Beyer TYGR 300R for fortnite and i was using the X1 with my Switch Lite until i got the Fosi 👍
Personally I think Kiwi Ears missed a chance on this one. They should have used a better DAC chip in there, and also have an AMP. I think no one that uses a 4.4 would actually use this as a daily driver.
True but they kinda did that with the normal Allegro model. I presume they wanted to keep the price as low as possible for profits and numbers due to the inflation we live in these days.
I was using my phone in landscape mode and then it hit my mind. These L shaped dongles have a good point.
They are great for landscape indeed.

Cheers for your feedback on it.
your points about laptop use are exactly why i got the tc44pro's. best decision. much more ergonomic than a dongle
Cheers for thinking like me lol
This is the perfect size and thickness for my ipad pro, and it gets plenty loud on it.
Nice 👍
Nice review 😊
Thanks.
