Is it possible for you to enjoy a movie that isn't based on Christianity? If so then which ones? Note = I'm NOT judging you or your review, merely curious.
I’d just like to say that you need to get over yourself and with that odd lesbians comment it’s like dude, you seriously need to get over yourself. I’m not pc or woke but even I know that what you said is just odd and kind of dumb. This is just a movie, it also teaches children not to be satanic. So either you must’ve only watched the trailer of the movie or you hid the fact that it’s not satanic because you wanted a video. Also “ glorification of evil” look, that is plain dumb. Also the film industry is corrupt in a different way than the films they put out. It’s corrupt because of the parties, drugs, all that shit. But not the films they put out. This is a funny movie for kids that teaches them to be a good person.
I've addressed all you've said in previous videos. It doesn't seem like you even know my arguments, so I'd suggest you do some research before you make silly assumptions.
@@DivineRedwood Every good story has to borrow some Christian principles, even if they are not deeply embedded into the story. A movie series I've enjoyed is John Wick. It's basically an ex-hitman killing a bunch of bad guys who are in the mafia. There are some good themes in there, but keep in mind anyone writing a story will be imperfect.
I think the premise is actually funny sounding. But man, the trailer for this movie looks incredibly unfunny. Also looks like it’s trying too hard to be like Beetlejuice.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Satan can take on the form of an angel of light. Sure, it may sound funny, but the way they are portraying evil is far from that.

I’m not gonna lie, I literally thought of this idea for a rom com. My sister was watching this film where a little girl misspelled Santa and then somebody went and corrected it for her (the letter she wrote was asking Santa to let her mom fall in love). After seeing that scene, I then thought that it would be darkly humorous if that letter ended up going through to Satan and after reading the girl’s pleas, he’d try to do the opposite of her request. Since Satan destroys, I thought it would be true to his character for him to try and destroy the little girl’s mother’s chance at love. It would be a dark comedy, of course (with Satan’s plans foiled in the end). It was just a quick idea, and obviously it would be impossible to do it now without being called a copycat. But what do you think?
The issue with the movie I described and the difference between it and your idea would be based on how evil is showcased. In Dear Santa, evil is shown as goofy and fun, while in your idea it is not. If evil is explicitly shown as something good toward the viewer, it is antithetical to Christianity.
This was an amazing insight into the sense of victimhood I commonly see in Christians. To be so triggered and to feel so persecuted by the existence of some stupid movie is just surreal to me. I can hardly begrudge you for your views though, of course. Clearly you have been indoctrinated and brainwashed to reach this point so if anything, you have my deepest compassion and sympathy. I thank you for the video and while I do not know why it came up in my feed I was appreciative for the perspective.
Is it ever okay to enjoy an evil character? In a way that's not sinful or leads to it? Like look at marvel films, we like good villains but know they are still villains so it never goes to far.
Just because I won’t see the movie doesn’t mean others have considered doing it. Thanks Ryder for doing a video about this, keep stepping out in faith! You may very well be apart of saving kids from this stupid depiction of humor
As someone who played Minecraft when it first came out, I'm not 100% on board with the style the producers have chosen, but the story may very well be great. Let me know how it goes!
A bit late to the party, aren't you? People have been talking about this for weeks. At this point, I'm frankly sick of hearing about it. I've heard it over and over - yes, this movie is satanic; yes, this movie is disrespectful to Christmas. It was based on a stupid joke that wasn't super-funny the first time. Jack Black is an atheist who didn't take Christianity seriously enough and put his foot in his mouth; "ascribe nothing to malice that can't be explained with stupidity", and so forth. I'm already not going to see this movie, and I already agree that Christians need to step up their film-game and "git gud" as the FromSoft fans like to say. Also it comes from the makers of "Dumb and Dumber" - an oddly appropriate choice, I must say. I'm sorry to be negative, I'm just sick of this topic popping up and ruining my Christmas at every turn. I think the best thing we can do is chalk this up to tone-deaf Hollywood, go see Sonic 3 instead, and ignore it. Better that an evil movie should die in obscurity than live in infamy.
Yes people have been talking about this for weeks, but this is the first time I’ve heard of the movie. Different people are able to reach others through their delivery of the topic. Same message, different viewers.
Brother, with all kindness, if you're sick of this topic why did you click on the video? You have the choice to not watch if you don't want to. Meanwhile, I'm going to speak about the topics that need to be spoken about.
@@RyderTheOmniscient You make very fair points, and I'm afraid I did lose my temper a bit. For that I'm sorry. Now, respectfully... does this really need to be talked about any more than it already has? At this point we're just giving the movie free press. Kind of like when the woke go ballistic over a movie that violates their ever-evolving sensitivities, so everyone goes to see it just to spite them.

It's hard to even watch those Saw clips without feeling anxious, yeah that movie is a world pulling device in the same way you see grandmas pulling the slots in Vegas. There has to be better forms of cinema for the Christian to be involved in absolutely. Hopefully someone on the fence saw this.
I watched it. Premise was funny. Execution sucked. The acting was TERRIBLE. It was a flop of a movie. Would have been good as a horror movie with an evil devil. I think we all need to calm down about the "devil" aspect. We're actually overreating and unbelievers are rolling their eyes. The movie sucks, Steve, uh I mean "Satan" aside.
