    That wort looks so damn delicious. I'm a big heffe fan (Weihenstephaner Heffeweizen has been my go to beer for years). Very enjoyable video!

    Great video. If you just heated the LME, as Northern Brewer suggests (and as you notate in your video), the plastic jug is neither messy nor inconvenient. (Admittedly, N.B. is inconsistent in their instructions and some details are present in some versions of instructions and missing in others, they change temperature specs, etc. Also, I respect you did state that you are new to liquid ME and may have done something wrong.). The warmed LE also spreads very fast and you don't need to worry about scorching.

    If you want an easier way to impart LME (and if you have one) - use a hop spider. You can pour the LME in the spider and it will keep the LME from scorching. I also encourage you to try the NB Maypole Maibock kit - I like it with Mangrove Jack M54 Californian Lager Yeast. Prost!
