    Awesome, I am going to use it with my students tomorrow, we are working on the 24 Character Strengths and they can pick what to write. Have you ever considered marking your stamps on the front side with a dot or the letter so you don't have to check all the time? Thanks heaps

    • @thehautebohemian5753
      @thehautebohemian5753  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Debra Fitzsimons Yes! The higher quality stamps have marks but the ones that don’t I’ve put marks on the right side. Have fun stamping with your students.

    Thank you so much for this! Will the hammering and bending help work harden the aluminium?

    If I want to use gold filled material, how can you darken the letters? Using rubbing alcohol and a permanent marker would shorten the longevity of the gold layer. Would an enamel marker work?

    • @thehautebohemian5753
      @thehautebohemian5753  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Milessa you could try an enamel maker. I’ve never tried it before. You could also use a sharpie and a pro polishing pad instead of alcohol.

      I use this tool SE 7932HP Double Hole Punch Plate www.amazon.com/dp/B00658KWS6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_36F2CbSWN971C
      It works well for holes 2-3 mm diameter.

    Hello. I just wanted to know if there is a special texture hammer that you use. Also, I've never seen a long metal hammer block like that.

    • @thehautebohemian5753
      @thehautebohemian5753  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi there!
      The hammer I used for these is called a ball peen hammer. I got it at Michael’s years ago. I had the metal block custom made from my family’s machine shop.

    What size stamps for that small width bracelet? 3mm ones?

    • @thehautebohemian5753
      @thehautebohemian5753  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mastiff Comms You can use 1.5mm on the skinnier cuffs. That would fit just fine.

    Did you tumble the finished bracelets at the beginning of the video or polish them by hand?

    • @thehautebohemian5753
      @thehautebohemian5753  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used a hammering texture to make them shiny. I didn’t tumble or polish them. I’m sure tumbling would make them shiny.

    Where would on go to get a custom block made? And can you refer any content that talks font size and blank sizes and how they relate? For example if I buy a 3mm font what size blanks does that best fit on? Surely not 3, perhaps 5 or 6.... IDK an explanation of how that all works would be awesome.

    • @thehautebohemian5753
      @thehautebohemian5753  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi,
      I would suggest contacting a local metal shop to get a block made. There may be online places that sell them but I’m not sure of any specific ones. Impressart has many videos on stamping you can check out. Bracelet blanks are typically sold in 1/8”, 1/4” 3/8” and 5/8” sizes so 3mm stamp would best fit on the 1/4” bracelet size. You definitely want to go a little bigger than the stamp size. Hope this helps.

    • @thehautebohemian5753
      @thehautebohemian5753  ปีที่แล้ว

      I’ve never had that issue and I’ve made lots of these. Some advise: don’t stamp too hard especially in the middle. I’ve seen cuffs break in half when bending if stamped too hard.
