Koala is Amazing... been waiting for you to get on it... you can resample the master fx to pads btw... run your sequence... go to the sample page, hold a pad for desired length... boom! Sampled 🤓👍
And yes ohh yes, I clicked on your link and bought it immediately!!! Now I’m gonna get my fingers prepared to figure all the good stuff inside Koala Sampler. And btw in Euro’s it costs only €4.49 and I saw that they’ve updated the app with extra effects like a compressor and so on. You made my day, Jakob!
Agreed, and it would be cool if when using samples in keyboard mode there was a mono option, so when using 808s on the keyboard they dont ring out over top of each other when samples are in one shot mode. Its a cool app though, and if Im really trying to sequence something Id use a real IOS Daw.
Great video, Jakob! I have been using Koala since it came out and believe it is maybe the best iPhone music making app out there! It looks great on my iPad, but only few apps also work great on my smaller iPhone. Koala does! It feels like I carry a powerful sampler in my pocket (plus think of all the adult movies you could sample into it directly from your phone! ;) )
Jakob Haq what type of dongle are you using to get sounds from the pocket operator into koala? Do you have a phone or 1/4 “ cable. That seems so difficult for some reason. Or are you just recording from the mic like I do?

It works also with Audiobus on Ipad: you can insert Koala as FX and the App you wanna record as Input. Its better to change recording mode away from Hold-to Record to normal mode in this case...
This app is absolutely AMAZING ! I have the Po-33 and love it I want to use them altogether. Koala + AKAI MPD128 is the most fun I had using the akai til now. So pleasing to use. I wish koala had the per sample settings for effects too as an option. But it’s already amazing as it is !
Well, this is an essential purchase. I dropped it into the effects slot on an AUM mixbus, making it possible to route loads of different synths, hardware and vocals directly into the sampler. Once it has sample looping, it’s going to slay. Thanks for recommending.
I like the look and sound of this app and I don’t think it will relegate the KO! to the draw. I been reading the user reviews and the negative ones haven’t put me off as I have other gear to fill the spaces. 3.99 UK is a no brainier.
I know this is a older video, and I love the channel. Could you do a comparison video on koala and the KO 33? I know koala beats out the KO on price but as far as format could do a comparison. I seem to have trouble with the BPM on koala. It does not seem to change for me. I also feel like I get a good recording with koala either. I do not have a KO 33 yet, but would like to purchase one but still would like to see some comparisons 😊thanks

Correct! The UCA222 is basically just a revised version of the UCA202. The only difference between them is the colour and a small digital converter chip inside the red one. 👍🏼
@@JakobHaq Behringer also claims that latency on UCA-222 is lower. I didn't compare these two models by latency, but UCA-222 works with all hardware and software that I have. Which adapter you used to connect your microphone to RCA inputs?
The mic I have is an iRig Mic HD, a USB connected model. It also comes with a lighting to usb cable, so I used that together with headphones when recording vocals. I don’t own any mics with XLR or Tele connections anymore. I’m your case I would recommend a mixer or a mix amplifier with the proper output ports. 😅
No latency. Audio got messed up during export of the video. It looked synced while working on it but after export it was out of sync. Running the new version of LumaFusion on my iPad. It’s got some issues that I hope they iron out soon.

I’m not troll’n, maybe I’m just dense... been following this on Audiobus forum... But I don’t understand why you would sample into this from another instrument that’s perfectly capable of being sequenced on its own... What is the killer feature here over pretty much any other sample based drum machine or groove box that has people wetting their panties? For example, if I was into sample based productions, GR16 would kill this thing with it’s eyes closed... What am I missing? Or why would you sample from the Tonic? It kicks ass by itself. If you want more fx, just use interface and run it into AUM and then into something Turnado...
When you add bars with the plus sign you only get to 32. And if you’re at 32 and press double up, it doesn’t do anything. This is what made me think that the limit was Intended to be 32. But when backing down to 31, the double up function works. The whole point is that is most likely a bug. 😅

Yes, the UCA202 that I’m using is actually a usb2 interface. As long as the USB device is Class compliant, it shouldn’t be a problem. 👍🏼
