The great thing about George Clinton (Bootsy also) is that he's probably anybody's biggest fan if they funky. He wasn't too full of it to not be inspired by others, but when he brought that new funk everybody else except the youth coming up were too damn cool or unfunky to adjust to the PFUNK/future. Exactly why they been doing oldies concerts since the 80's with no new material because they been out of touch with PFUNK since the 70's.
