Great tutorial! I did run into an error with the Android Emulator Hypervisor Driver as I'm running AMD. To fix this, load up the BIOS menu when booting up your computer (press DEL on ROG motherboards), go to Advanced and enable SVM. After this everything worked perfectly!
Nice video, thank you for that. Quick question, why does an android and ios folder not exist after creating a new project folder in react native? Is it a bug or am I supposed to download a file extra?
I'm having some problems about starting emulator. It says me change rendering option to software but in settings that option is locked at automatic does anyone know how to solve this?
Thank you for your helpful video!! Can I connect the Android Studio with android tablet instead of phone? Also, are we gonna use Bluetooth to connect them or what?
Yes, you can use an Android tablet. All you have to do is plug it in via a usb cable. And ensure it is recognized by typing in 'adb devices' into your command prompt.
I get "'react-native' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file." Should I try installing react-native globally? I am working on a project that wasn't built with expo.
Hello, you said that ""React native is a javascript framework" 0:08 But I read that it is not a framework it is a library. If I am wrong please correct me.
Manvendra Singh the terms are often used alike but in this case, RN is a framework. This is because RN provides the flow of the application. However, something like a component is a library because we can introduce it whenever we want regardless of the flow (www.freecodecamp.org/news/the-difference-between-a-framework-and-a-library-bd133054023f/). It is also called a framework on the RN site.
@Creative Programmer if it is still not working, make sure that the device is recognized by your compiler (ie type in: 'adb devices' in the command prompt)
If you have an android device, you can hook that up to your computer (mac or windows), and an iphone can hook up to a mac. But apart from that and the emulators, I don't know of any other way to test and run an app.
Dark Theme. I can see you are a man of culture.
Anyone who doesn't use dark theme is a psychopath
@@MichaelGrieco Did you just said to me ? 🤨
i know it's kinda randomly asking but do anyone know of a good site to watch new series online ?
@Benicio Raylan i use Flixzone. You can find it by googling :)
@Quinton Alexander yup, been watching on Flixzone for years myself :D

Thank you, is running perfectly 20/09/2021..!🚀
very helpful. thanks alot mate !!
Thanks bro!
You helped me a lot...
Nice video, thank you for that. Quick question, why does an android and ios folder not exist after creating a new project folder in react native? Is it a bug or am I supposed to download a file extra?
If those folders do not exist, they will likely be created once you actually run the app, which will build the code for the native platforms.
That was very helpful, thank you so much!
thx man, good stuff
This is so simple. Cool 🙏
Dear sir,
thanks for the free tutor.!
Thanks Mike helped a lot !
Thanks a lot!!!!!! Super simple tuturial ;)
@Michael Grieco is there required android studio if we want connect only physical device not virtual device
Yes, it is because Android Studio and the SDK are required to compile the app for your device.
thankyou .you save my day

As in my operating system or hardware?
Hello I am facing some problem to install
Is it something normal for the androidstudio to take long to download? I'm using the m1 macbook pro it is taking really long
Yeah, I think I sped it up in the video because it takes a while.
@@MichaelGrieco i had to stop it because it was gonna take me days at that point.
You can use scrcpy to cast your phone screen.
I didn't know that, thanks for telling me. I'll be sure to try it out!
Do i need to install android studio for react native?
If you want to compile it and run it on an Android device or emulator, then yes.
Which system do you have? It look stabil.
I have Windows 10 for the computer and one of the newer Android versions for the emulator.
@@MichaelGrieco Can you give information about your hardware?

Yes, and make sure your environment variables are setup properly
@@MichaelGrieco thanks. I needed react-native-cli installed globally and adb added to the PATH.
