I love this scene. To Kevin, thanks so much for 40 years of great movies. If not for Kev we wouldn't have westerns today. He has kept the western genre alive. Kudos to Costner.

Fantastic Scene. Never seen this antagonizing actor before. Boy, he sure can play a great bad guy. Going to put tabs on him, should be fun seeing him rise in the acting world. Very talented with a sharp dialog delivery. Future star in the works looks like to me.
Finally got to see this today in the theater and it was excellent. Really hoping it captures a big enough audience on PPV and premium channels to see Part 2 released in theaters.
@@daveclark8337 Incorrect. They didn't "cancel" part 2. Its release has been delayed to allow audiences a chance to see Part 1 so that Part 2 has an opportunity to be successful at the box office. Either way, part 2 will eventually be released in theaters because part 2 is already made. The only way to lose more money on #2 would be to NOT release it.

Give us part two on the big screen! Don't promise a date and then run for the tall grass when things don't go as planned. The distributors have broken trust with those who paid to watch part one and were ready for part two.
Warner Bros distributed Horizon to 3000 theaters across the US and nobody showed up. It was so bad the theater owners have already yanked it from their theaters, didn't even last a month. Everyone who got involved with this Lost Money: WB, AMC, Cinemark.
Costner still has it, is a great maker of westerns. That doesn't mean this movie is above criticism. It has some problems. The narrative, scenes and groups of people not really connected by a through-line.
He has a double barrel shotgun on his shoulder. He just moved the shotgun. He has been pointing it at the man and gesturing with it the whole time. And he chooses to draw a holstered pistol on a man who has already drawn his pistol?
I think Costner has cut a deal with NETFLIX to take on HORIZON. They should reformat and turn it into 60 to 75 minute chapters. This would allow the viewer to go back and watch previous chapters so they can fully understand the story as they go along. They may also go back and reformat and add content. This would solve all of Costner's money problems and provide all of the money that is needed to finish the production. This would allow a couple of billion people to watch this movie which far exceeds what it is capable of drawing in movie theaters. Costner is a great storyteller. This movie has the potential to end up being one of the best Westerns in American cinematic history. Maybe NETFLIX and Costner can team up and fix HORIZON and turn it into the masterpiece that it is capable of being.
Terrible idea. And something that isn't broken doesn't need to be fixed. Netflix would fix it in the sense of castrating it and "updating" for "modern audiences".
