Great job on the stumps! Hope you had a good time on your date my friend!

I'm jealous of your ability to be able to charge that much. In my city in New Zealand there are a couple of old cashed up guys that don't say no to any job and charge peanuts. That stump would have been done for $100-$120nzd ($60usd) so that's what i have to compete against... i know one guy who charges $140nzd an hour with a 38hp machine. If he is on a job for 5+ hours he'll even knock some more off his price. His machines are held together with duct tape and prayers. Been around for 20+ years though so I don't know what the hell to think haha

Don’t feel bad, it varies from city to city here and state to state.

Yes please! how do you price?
How do you take payment, cards, cash, check?
Do you have the client pay before the work is completed to make sure you get paid?
Do you have them sign a contract?

We do cash, cashapp, and other app payments. We will also be working on a contactless renting/payment system for our trailer to make it more convenient for the customers.
I always get paid after the work is done.
We currently don’t have an active contract, but we do have one being written up since our business volume has picked up!
Thanks for your questions and comment!

      Thanks for the response!
How do you charge? You have a base price/setup fee, then you add accordingly?

@@ryangerbers7419I have a base price “setup” fee of $100 plus the price of the stump. My base price for a stump is $75 so for one stump it would be $175.
The setup fee stays the same but the prices vary depending on the size of stump, distance traveled, and difficulty of accessing the stump.
If I have several stumps on one job, sometimes I’ll wave the setup fee.
Hope this helps! If you have more questions, I’m happy to help.
