Thank you for taking the time to post this. It definitely saved me a lot of time. Cutting the pin is a better idea, it is cleaner and quicker. Marking the hinge position is a good idea as well. After installing the hinge with the new bushings, the door lined up an closed like a dream. One thing I ran into was after I inserted the bushings the inside diameter closed up a little and I could not get the new pin in. I had to hone the bushings out so the pin would go in. It seemed to work well after that. I carefully used an 11/32 drill to clean them out a little.
You say 13/32ths even though it said 15/32ths on the package and the drillbit. Later when you said make sure you get the right size you then said the correct size 15/32ths. This looks like too much trouble I think I'd just order the lower hinge assembly. I've seen them for under $100.

That was a good explanation, thanks! Much easier to cut the pin in the middle rather then grinding the top off.
Thanks friend you can save alittle time by marking the hinge out line before removal then it lines up no problem

How NOT to replace mustang door pins... Jesus Christ people lol
Why not? That’s the easiest way to do it
