A quite delightful & enjoyable interview, I only wished there was more of it, as Lee's stories are enlightening. I was fortunate enough to see Rush live at the LA Forum in the 80's with their incredible "Moving Pictures Tour". They literally sounded just like their albums, a very flawless performance by the 3 of them.
GEDDY is a genuine and authentic amazing role model for all our healing world and while doing what you love and what a great artist that gives and shares so much - that is about our own travels to new levels of self acceptance
I won a pre show behind stage pass on a Philadelphia radio station, pretty cool shit ! Sound check the whole deal. A RUSH FAN for 40 yrs I know all the riffs right 👌🏼 I was scared as fuck to meet GEDDY .. WTF RIGHT !!! MY all life rock band , my hero’s lifetime hero’s ! GEDDY & ALEX came in together ,, I couldn’t believe I was actually standing there chatting with GEDDY & ALEX ‼️although those hot summer nites at a RUSH SHOW are gone forever 😞 Forever , the memories of them are etched and will never be gone …ITS LIKE TIME STANDS STILL OR SOMETHING… RUSH ALWAYS & FOREVER
i 1st heard Rush thanks to a DJ on a hissy FM signal from iLR Portsmouths Radio Victory ( thanks to an old VHF tv Ariel in the roof ) whom hosted an evening “Heavy Metal show” in the late 1970s . i forget his name right now but Hemispheres had just been released & once I’d heard La Villa Strangiato , i was bugging them at New Milton Records the very next day. Thanking You for getting this amazing interview opportunity 😃👍🐢🐀👽❤️
He was actually the driving force. Worked with Alex on writing the music, worked with Neil on adapting his poems to melodic lyrics and worked with the producers on the creation of the albums.
I was at that show in OC with the Jack Black cameo. It was either the R30 or S&A tour, can't remember. Pretty farging funny and unexpected. He also did a signature leap off the dryer, iirc.
Always enjoy hearing Geddy speak (on any subject). This would have been better with a Zoom background for the interviewer. He looks like he’s hiding out in a basement bunker. 😂
100% agree on AI - the true artists that gruel away at drawing with graphite and paper - then get set aside for the AI that thinks AI can be genuine essence of the true genius - its a fad and will have its small place
Meh, Geddy should apologize for failing to keep his promises about playing in Poland, despite the claim made in Wiesław Weiss interview and Wandering the Face of the Earth.
Love Geddy, Neil and Alex. Love Rush! Permanent Waves 1980!!

Playing the bass really helped me on the guitar.

Thanks for posting. This was great.
Cheers! Lots more to come…
That first question I've had forever and glad it was answered in such a great way.
Unsung gem of a video. Appreciate it. Geddy's got lots to say. Great questions.

@@newforestpixie5297 Thanks for the comment and I’m glad you enjoyed it 👌
😂Rush interview=Nerd Alert🤘🖖✌️🎸🥁🎹🎤Love Rush best band ever
Agree
Re last question, I had a dog named Geddy, a Shetland Sheepdog...looked like Geddy. :)
Love you, man...
love GEDDY interviews -
The Rush stories are interesting.
I would be ecstatic to hear Alex and Geddy do something new - I don’t need to see them tour I get it’s a grind and one off shows are hard to get to.
Maybe an EP of just a few new songs. That would be awesome.
It would also be great if Chris could interview them both together at the same time. Geddy would just laugh and giggle at everything Alex said. :)
@@ericgen5022that’s probably why Neil loved Alex too, because he made him laugh so much. Alex is a funny guy!
By ToR And the Snow DOG Awesome❤❤
there is a restaurant in the usa state of maine called geddy's. they have a t shirt with geddy as a moose
Chris, did you shoot this in your hall closet on a potato? 😄 Great to hear Geddy's stories.
as Geddy should be proud and Im sure he is
I'm splitting hairs of course but Geddy is the super multi-talent of Rush

What tv show??
For the 8974th time, it's Neil PEERT, not 'Pert'.....
I'm sooooo glad I'm not the only one who gets annoyed at this!😂
Ged was speaking of Anika Niles, should watch her play, she has some nasty riffs
Geddy is a cool guy.
This interviewer sucks.

From your lips to God's ears as the old saying goes.
Rush is like a combination of water molecularly.. He's the oxygen and they're the hydrogens and the imbalance just works.
Oh that’s why my clothes aren’t dry yet lol
Half of these questions he answers in his book. Could we not have come up with some new and original questions??
It says as much in the description, but all questions were submitted by fans before his book came out.
Let's be clear: I Love You Man is not a good movie.

Wow still no grey hair
He dyes his hair
