Security guard is a cool guy. Last time I was there we spoke and he said he pretty much works there to buy knives.

They cost quite a bit from what I hear.
I carry a box cutter at work with usually four spare blades. Whenever one gets a little dull i just switch out blades or put it on the belt sander if im lazy.
No one should ever overlook how handy a box cutter is
I'm still a fan of S30V. In fact I EDC my old Griptilian. However S35, and S45 have found their way on top of my favorites list.
We will always have a favorites list and are always adding to it as well 👍

I wish i get a BESS tester eventually. Would love to see where my edges land. Tests like w8ddling hair, cutting TP and paper towels are fine but actually having a number would be cool.
We have heard from several independent sharpeners in the community that now send pics/vids of customers knives being tested before being shipped back

So many people at Blade Show wanted to test their new knives we just had to test the users and daily carries of people in the store👍

Great vid. Reviews are good but some unscripted on the spot commentary is a nice change. Firstly, working in a knife store surely the employees can maintain decent edges on their blades. It's easy to maintain a sub 250 BESS on almost all blades. (NO hate - just a comment.) Second and what I loved the most is seeing how many employees & customers were carrying customised & modded knives. Engraved blades/handles, aftermarket scales etc..... Some awesome stuff out there!! Don't see enough of this. Sharp blades all.
A well used and loved blade is better than the sharpest safe queen. Some knives are collector's items or investments but we really like a working blade

So'O Jealous of 1st knife shown ! As a Coastie N S&R work carried 2 or 3 blades ultrasharp always. If Caught by the BMC it went overboard immediately. GreaT video hope U havva contest 4 some sharpening Rod's 2 keep a sharp knife SharP !!
4got 2 add carried a 2 side stone & a N/made strop plus hadda Woodmen Tool onboard & used often !

A little surprising the numbers seen in this video, I know my USA old timer 8OT senior is like a razor but my even older Schrade Waldens open stocks are even more scary. If i was there the day you did that though i think despite carring a Victorinox alox cadet and Demko AD20.5 titanium sharkfoot, i would be curious about how sharp my keen kutter 3 3/8" cattle knife is. That old KK is onecof the most ridiculous knibes i have owned with how "keen" of an edge it takes. Wish i knew its model but it is old enough that it would have had a model number etched on it and that is long gone.

Do a lot of people carry 3 or more knifes regularly? I personally don’t not sure why you would carry so many.
5 pockets? 5 knives! Got a neck? Great place for a knife. Wearing boots? Stick a knife in there, and as far as purpose goes because it makes them happy is more than good enough
