The commercial at the end was for Soho Metallic Paints at Jerry's Artarama, so cool to see like minded commercials for a art channel. And the ad was something I watched all the way through. Looks like a good product.
I am so happy to hear that you and your family are doing well. You seriously had me worried. I think of you like a daughter since you are just a few months older than my daughter. God bless you. Becky B
In February I bought a stencil with loads of fish on it. I traced them and painted them with my 24 pencil collection of Inktense. It is a Carabelle Studio art template TE60068. They are fantasy fishes, no dorsal fin, so get creative. These fish are a nice seize, neither too big, nor too small, and easy to fussy cut out. You just inspired me to do a shadow box card with my fish template. Lindsay, your channel is one of the first ones I subscribed to when I found out about YT in 2010. I've always loved your card making. And then discovered that you are a watercolor artist. Wow! I was blown, and still am.
What a fun and beautiful painting, Lindsay! The Inktense pencils are like magical & powerful little color wands...love them! Thanks for sharing your talents and wisdom so enthusiastically. You are a peach!!🍑
Truly wonderful! I do enjoy watching your videos when you jump into full teaching mode! You cannot make a wrong decision! Give everything a try! Just keep creating and working on your picture. I really enjoy the joy you give and portray in your videos! Thank you for sharing your joy today! Please take care and be safe!
What a cool idea! You could do any kind of aquarium scene even without fish, but maybe dart frogs. Or one of the black light lit ones would be sweet to try! Thanks for the ideas, I love the inktense pencils but I wish I had the blocks as well lol!
Such a cute idea to do the fishbowl shape. Great tutorial. Somehow I had either forgotten or never knew that these pencils (that I already have 🤣) would not reactivate after drying. Thanks for tips!
Lindsay, you just amaze me. So much creativity, and LOVE your teaching style. This was such a fun project to watch, and what I appreciated most was you multiple times reinforcing "it's just a piece of watercolor paper". You're absolutely right. As I've complained before, you make me spend lots of $$$, BUT at least you teach me how to use those products. Terrible, I feel like I collect lots of supplies, but don't use them. 😔Nothing like looking at all these beautiful supplies (variety of watercolor paints and brushes by different manufacturers, Inktense, oil pastels, soft pastels, water soluble oil paints, colored pencils, water soluble crayons) that are in pristine condition because I'm too chicken to "waste" them. Should be more concerned about wasting $ then the beautiful products I've bought. You just inspire me, and make things looks so easy that I want to try them - that says a lot about you as a teacher. Thank you!!!!!🤗😘
Your story sounds so familiar. Ahem. I tend to cut bait more than I go fishing, as my mother used to say. That said, i dragged out the unused Vagabond and today I made a thank you card for a dinner! Baby steps. LOL. Thank you, Lindsay, you make art seem in reach.
What a cool idea! This would be great for any animal or reptile in an aquarium setting like dart frogs maybe. Or I’d love to see it done with the fish under the black lights in that neon glowing effect! Thanks for teaching this, I love the inktense even though I think would have preferred to buy the blocks instead of the pencils first. I’ll get them someday, in the meantime I’ll enjoy playing with the pencils!
I love your fish bowl painting and thank you for posting this video lesson for us. I have a full set of the Inktense Pencils, but never really took the time to learn how to use them properly. So now, there's nothing like the present time, to learn something new. That's how much your painting inspired me to learn how to use my Inktense pencils.
How fun, even for big kids! 🙂my 12 set of Inktense is getting used and appreciated finally. So nice to see projects done with a small set so viewers can try out a product with a smaller outlay to find out if they like and will use the product. You’re the best!
Oh my gosh, this is soooo cute!! I have got to make one for my grandson! Thank you Mrs. Lindsay for all your great ideas and helps and reminders!! You are a great artist and a wonderful teacher ❤! 👍🎨✍☺👋💖
i did a top view koi pond with loads of pebbles a couple of years ago. i used every color of blue, grey, purple, and green i have for those pebbles. it has my most likes to date.
Lindsay, I have started to view this tutorial three times already, and have fallen asleep; this week has been tiring! Your voice should be on the ‘Calm App’! It’s so relaxing… 😂😃🤣👍🏾 Finally watched it to the end after SATChat 5/7/22… great tutorial and thank you!Inspiring to try after my sunflowers, but using my Derwent Inktense blocks. I get to use my Creative Memories circle makers again, yippee!! Stay golden!! 🥰🤩😃👍🏾🎊🙏🏾…
Seriously adorable. It is inspiring me to paint. I have never used InkTense products before. I like the fact that you can lock in layers and paint over them without worrying about the layer beneath. It reminds me a bit of digital art. The resist crayon also adds to the versatility of the InkTense products. I really want to try them out. Thank you for an adorable video. I really loved the effect of the round paper.
Thank you again Lindsay! I just love all your ideas! You are truly inspiring! My kids will love this project to do with me. I wish one day I could craft with you! You are just so fun and down to earth. I can't wait to try the Michael's class tomorrow night! You have helped me so much this last year to not be afraid to use all of my 'precious' art supplies. You are an amazing teacher and I will forever be grateful I found Lindsay the Frugal Crafter!
Love this so much and I'm going to paint a simple version of this with my 4 year old niece this weekend. I'm going to do an inktense one for her wall too.
brilliant tips in this. I was actually looking for use of Inktense specifically on fabric but your video has some transferable tips. Thank you Lindsay for another great video, your demeanour always lifts the spirit.😊😊
Hi Lindsay. Just a thought re: invisible clear wax pencil - I’m thinking wouldn’t the Prismacolor clear wax blending pencil work as a resist? (Or any other color pencil wax blender) I can’t get to my supplies right now to check but I’m sure it would offer some resist.
i wouldn't know because i dont use color pencils but... aren't blending/burnishing color pencils clear wax pencils? i know they def sell wax resist crayons at blick 🤔
A great Idea. It inspired me to paint a large round water scene for my wall in gouache I have lots of Himi/Miya gouache and some special paper That is large I got a while ago. I'm going to make a circle frame 'port hole' and different fish and swap out what is in the port hole (by carefully attaching them with doubled into a circle tape after attaching the circles to the wall first) It will need to be handled delicately but should work. I probably should have painted the background layer in Acrylics...
Your Betta fish from a few years back is what made me decide to get these pencils! Although, ironically, I did that painting *before* I got them. 😂 I liked the effect you'd done with the bubbles!
This is so cute and look like fun!! I better get off this I keep watching and not doing!! LOL Oh i love love love these pencils how they are permeant and don't smear of move after they dry!! Love the bubbles!! Okay i love this!! LOL Thank you so much
I don’t happen to need a fish painting, still, I am crazy over gorgeous color! You so often manage to come up with engaging, delightful projects. Thanks so very much! 🤗 ❤️🎨🖼
Hi there!! Hope you are feeling better! This vid was timed perfectly for me. I have an 1990's (?) set of the inktense (they don't seem as vibrant as the newer ones), and the sticks. You do make them come alive in this demo...renewed my interest, TKU😄. The tape trick -home run! Been using the plastic pallette from another company, but tape - bazinga!!😁😁 Thank you!
This is a creative memories one ive had over 20 years. Not sure they still make it but any circle cutter is fine or draw around a template and cut with scissors
Fantastic idea and painting. Love watching you create. Another art supply I NEED now 🤣 a couple of questions please. Could you use a palette to scribble the dry pencils on? Can you use masking fluid?
Lindsay, I love when you do fish and the Derwent pencils are my favorites to play with.
This would be so cute for a class project! Very fun!
The commercial at the end was for Soho Metallic Paints at Jerry's Artarama, so cool to see like minded commercials for a art channel. And the ad was something I watched all the way through. Looks like a good product.

Lindsay this is awesomesauce!!! Love that sweet little painting and that you custom cut the bowl like that - it's wonderful! Thank you! 👏🏻❤️👏🏻❤️👏🏻
Wow! Fabulous job showing the awesome abilities of the Derwent inktense pencils! This is so inspiring! Thanks! 💜💜💜

I just saw this, 11 months after it was posted. I Love it! Hope you demo more ideas with Inktense Pencils.!
I expected this to be on the Arteza round paper when I clicked. Now I want that circle cutter...
Beautiful fish! I love drawing the ocean life.
It's a 20 year old creative memories cutter 😆
@@thefrugalcrafter Hmm, sounds like a challenge.
Loved this ❤ at first I thought you were making “Dory”😂 Love the vibrant colors 💜

Aww, thank you:) I think we all suffer from precious supply overwhelm sometimes. The cure us to use them!

How cute. I love fish in water and Inktense. I bet a blender pencil like prisma etc would work as a resist as it is just wax and no pigment. Tfs
Using masking tape as a pallet to keep the Inktense from drying and becoming permanent … BRILLIANT!!!!
So adorable! Would LOVE to see more projects with this product. Thank you, God Bless!

So now, there's nothing like the present time, to learn something new. That's how much your painting inspired me to learn how to use my Inktense pencils.
I love how you play with your different mediums- it encourages and inspires me to dig out supplies I don’t use often.
Amazing what these pencils can do, "Derwent" pencils are so awesome.Lindsay does a beautiful work,a great artist.🎨🤗👍🌹

I love watching you draw and paint! Thanks Lindsey for your endless entertainment!
This is adorable and would make a great card, thanks Lindsay!
That’s a darling fish! What a creative project! Love the resist! Thanks Lindsay!
Hope you’re on the mend.💕
Im getting there!
So glad to hear that you’re feeling a bit better.💕
Oh my gosh, this is soooo cute!! I have got to make one for my grandson! Thank you Mrs. Lindsay for all your great ideas and helps and reminders!! You are a great artist and a wonderful teacher ❤! 👍🎨✍☺👋💖
Lindsay the fish are so cute I love the way you paint vases and glass. I haven't used inktense in a while I'm going to give this a go. Thank you!
This is adorable. This would be such a cute card for kids and could be framed. Love it.
Beautiful! I have never seen anyone demonstrate these pencils, so this video is very helpful. Thanks!
i did a top view koi pond with loads of pebbles a couple of years ago. i used every color of blue, grey, purple, and green i have for those pebbles. it has my most likes to date.
Great video Lindsay... I love how you talk through your creative process, it gives me hope when using my colour pencils. :)
I love this!! This is GORGEOUS, Lindsay! I love Derwent products, too. Fish bowl is perfect. I need to get the, Derwent, water brushes next. Tfs.

Me calm? 😆
What a pretty painting, Lindsay!! ❤️
That came out so cool. I love it. 👏
Oh very pretty and this painting looks like a lot of fun. Love the bright colours. Thx for a great lesson Lindsay. Off to purchase a 12 pencil set!
Have fun!
So many cool techniques in this one, I really want to try the derwent inktense pencils now! And the way you made the bubbles was so creative!
Thanks!
This turned out AMAZING! So adorable- I’m definitely going to try this!
I am loving these tutorials. I love Inktense and seeing different ways you are working with them sparks a lot of ideas. Thank you.

Oh, how cute this is! Thank you for sharing all of your steps. I love the expression on the fish!

Lindsay your fish bowl and fish are so cute, thanks for sharing and showing us.

Sure!
I was wondering if a sharpened birthday cake candle 🕯 with the wick cut off would work as well .
The burnisher from Derwent works better! But the blenders can give resists aswell!
So beautiful! Great design!
This project was so inspiring!! Thanks!!💜💜
Thank you!
Save those clear crayons in the Easter egg dye kits!
Great idea!
Terrific video! You are a really engaging and talented teacher. Love the outcome!
Thanks!
I love this tutorial - just discovered it today!!! It is a very fun scene!!! And it is gorgeous - you made it look so easy!!!
Awesome! I can't wait to try this. I need to get that wider water brush.
Great video! Would LOVE to see more Inktense videos!
Oh my gosh; this is so cute and clever! Thank you!
Thanks Lindsay 💜
You're a master teacher. Thank you for sharing!
i wouldn't know because i dont use color pencils but... aren't blending/burnishing color pencils clear wax pencils? i know they def sell wax resist crayons at blick 🤔
They are wax and grit. They will resist tho, not as much as a crayon or canning wax.
This is gorgeous and looks so fun! A great way to use the pencils!
Beautiful painting!
Cute and colorful!
I love this alot it looks so amazing and realistic
I have these pencils so this tutorial was inspirational! Thank you and appreciated!
So beautiful!
Such a fun project! Thank you!
Another Wow! Now I need a circle cutter.
Such a cute picture.
Hope you're feeling better Lindsay x
This is so cute. I love it!
Super cute!!
So cute. Love all of the Derwent videos. Enjoyed IG video. Hopefully you're all feeling better. TFS Lindsay
I'm pretty good, thanks for asking:)
Love this ! Going to do it with my kids, thank you!!

Fun project. How about trying a Prismacolor blender pencil as a clear wax pencil? I tried a couple of samples and it appeared to work.
Good idea!
Love this idea Lindsay ❣️❤️ I have not used the ink-tense pencils but I want to try some other watercolor pencils then I will try the ink-tense ❣️
Wow, so fun. What a lesson today. TY

C'mon everyone needs a fish painting 😆

Thank you!
It's so handy!
I love my Inktense pencils! I end up using them with a brush by brushing the ends and applying to paper. Guess I should get the blocks!
Or the pans
I want the cutter. Is just a circle cutter?
The link to it is in the description.
This is a creative memories one ive had over 20 years. Not sure they still make it but any circle cutter is fine or draw around a template and cut with scissors
Or, if you have a die-cutting machine- & circle dies you can use that. :)
I love my @Lindsay, you are so anti creative block, y’all should subscribe to her @Teachable class so she’s always at your fingertips 🥰🥳🙂🎊🎈‼️
Wow, so cute ❤️
So fun! 👍
This is so cool!
Love the bubbles. Found some wax resist pencils for 2.00 at Hobby Lobby. Didn’t think about canning wax, tho. Great tip.
Fantastic idea 😍
You can use a blender pencil as the transparent wax pencil. Caran dache makes a wordless one that is quite nice
Fantastic!
Fantastic idea and painting. Love watching you create. Another art supply I NEED now 🤣 a couple of questions please. Could you use a palette to scribble the dry pencils on? Can you use masking fluid?
Yes to both
Wouldn’t it be easier to do the background color before you put the black angular tree or will the black lines not be as crisp?
I want the blue over the black yo push it back visually.
I love this fishbowl. When I saw the screenshot I was trying to figure out had you painted a bowl or what was it. It’s really gorgeous.
Thanks!
Nice idea 💡
I loved this.. for a resist you can use the Derwent blender and burnisher! They are colorless wax ☺️
I need to get one of those!
