This song is incredible (and the official video is gorgeous, raw, authentic and surreally seductive)....Anna Calvi did it again...her genius shines through at once complex, grounded and yet transporting the listener into an otherworldly realm all at once. I don't think any other current singer in our generation is doing anything with this kind of sophistication. You have to reach back to Bowie, Prince and Sting to find apt comparisons.
Saw her live yesterday having not came across her before, it was a really amazing performance! Am I the only one who thinks this would fit right into an episode of Twin Peaks, it just somehow has that dark feel to it.
