      @Demarcus The fact that everyone CAN be a teacher isn't necessarily false, it's just that alot of people shouldn't become teachers, because some are in fact horrible at it. Take example from parenting and you can find alot of horrible parents who can barely take care of themselves.

    THANK YOU FOR THIS EXCELLENT VIDEO!! Yes, I’m shouting - because I have viewed at least a 1/2 dozen YT videos on the PnR (most if not all from prominent BB “explainer” channels) & *none* comes close to this one - clear verbal explanation, lots of examples, and a step-by-step review of all the options for using the PnR. Plus - & the more I think about it, I think this is a crucial part of what makes your video so good - NO voiceover narration from the creator. The play-by-play by the broadcast announcers is fine, but with the other videos I watched, the VOs were verbose & distracting. You gave super-concise statements of the key learning points & then let the video clips do the talking. Thank you so much (see, I stopped shouting) for enabling me to understand what I’m seeing when watching games.

    Over the past 2+ years, I've picked up basketball seriously. I always used to play, but it was just because my friends did. By the time I began loving the game on my own and actually got passionate about it, the pandemic hit. It's been hard trying to improve as a player and learning everything on your own but TH-cam and the internet were there to help. But the most helpful, by FAR, was finding your channel.
    Your breakdowns on dribble moves, defense, shooting, P&Rs and more were HUGE to my game. I literally learned every bit of defense and driving from your videos and it's helped me so much. I finally made my school team and managed to get on the starting 5.
    Can't thank you enough.

    Really great examples and breakdown. I’ve seen so many screens irl and on TH-cam be used terribly where the ball handler just ends up going iso on one defender after another after screens. Very few TH-cam 2v2 creators use pnr. They just iso while the teammate stared and waits for the ball

    • @CoachFrikki
      @CoachFrikki  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah definitely agree. The PnR culture has to change. Why would you want a slow iso over a wide open three or slip to the basket?

    • @brootal4234
      @brootal4234 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@CoachFrikki Yeah and it makes the team predictable and the game harder than it needs to be. I know one player who will complain about getting double teamed in a pickup game but he doesn’t get that the other team has him figured out. He’ll never pass so they just surround the iso player and he ends up losing the ball or calling weak fouls.
      I’m going to keep your vid in mind when I play this week and remind my teammates to roll or pass to the open screener.

    Amazing breakdown, thanks coach. Just one small comment - in the Stockton/Malone empty side clips, we are in the era of illegal defense, so the help defender is forced to go late, otherwise they get a whistle. Nowadays you'll rarely get a side PnR THAT empty, and even more in Europe/FIBA rules, where no Defensive 3" means someone can camp under the paint to help on all rolls. That does free the skip pass, though.
