Right now I am contacting many people on trying to gain access to the place. The actual site as show has been torn down but the giant warehouse used for filming the inside parts of the movie is still standing. I am hoping there is some stuff still in there to give to our local museum. But yeah, if you have any questions on the intricacies please ask away!

Really love your videos!! So I've got at least one great movie set for you to explore in part 3! In Port Townsend, WA is Fort Worden where the movie An Officer and a Gentleman was filmed. Many of the sets are still there, maintained by the fort, as well as the room at The Tides Inn that featured prominently in the film. The Inn still has the room, now designated as the Officer and a Gentleman suite. Totally surprising to me, though, is that they filmed the decompression chamber scene in the basement of one of the barracks! And the set was just left standing and is still there. I found that the door to the basement when I was there was unlocked, so I was able to go in and take pictures. I can send them to you along with the pictures I took of other sets used for filming if you'd like. Just let me know!

the jurassic films, specially the first one, while they are very close to my heart, did cut a lot of content from the books that could've been awesome, the river's T-rex chase, the aviary, Muldon and Genero kicking ass against the velociraptors, but "the lost world" was the one the the most wasted potential, the book had chameleon like carnotaurus, a sarah harding badass motorcycle chase of a velociraptor and the workers village sequences, it overall had a feeling akin to a fusion between the videogames "uncharted" and "the last of us" as in adventure with a little survival horror sprinkled in, which is why I would love a "naugthy dog" developed "jurassic park" action game instead of the generic park builders we've been getting so far. Overall, the franchise is not living up to even half of it's full potential which I find sad.

I often wonder if they changed or if it was just a common name. I would need a way to send you photos. I would also like to see a video on NJ's Storybook Land, The Wild West village that used to be near Storybook Land which was completely torn down so fast I had no time to get a photo of it, and Jungle park and the Dinosaur park up in North Jersey. An other fun look would be in to Dracula's castle in wildwood and I want to track down some of the old wildwood rides that used to stand. I know of one, the Might Joe Young, but the others I can't find. I also want to track down a duck statue that used to be in Somers Point. I know this is the other side of the country from Disney, but I want to see videos on places I can travel to. Other ideas, Land of Oz and Hershey Park.

For example, in order to make it so the sun wouldn’t make what is supposed to be the bottom of the ocean too bright, he had the top of the water tank covered in a layer of marbles or something like that. I was wondering what happened to the nuclear reactor.

Does he talk like this in real life???? It is like he did not enjoy making this video. Or this is the voice of a computer bot.
I like the Hobbit location. And that they restored it.
Did not like that it cost 30 dollar to see empty hobbit structures and sheep.
    Greetings,, Kitty.

Would love a part 3 stuff like this fascinates me. It is interesting to learn about these sets and why they where left behind. If you don’t have enough movie sets for a part 3 maybe you could do TV sets? Or you could do a whole other series on TV sets if you have enough I would definitely watch that.

I love that Audible keeps coming out with occasional promotions for free trials... After signing up with the Yesterworld code, I think this might be my 3rd free trial 😂 and it's awesome that they allow you to keep the audiobooks after cancelling the trial too! FYI, if you guys have Amazon Prime, you'll get 2 free audiobooks when you sign up for the trial, as well as the 2 Audible originals! Definitely worth it, and I'm happy to help support this awesome channel any way I can 😁Such an interesting video as always! Visiting Hobbiton is actually something on my bucket list... hope I can make it there one day!

    • @YesterworldEntertainment

Honestly, I don't hate JP3, it just (IMO) pales in comparison to the original and Lost World (which even then got ridiculous near the end), and has too many eye rolling moments for my taste...but it's enjoyable, and at least they use a lot of practical effects. I enjoyed Hobbit Part 1 honestly, and most of Part 2, but pretty much hated P3, and overall, the trilogy just was a huge missed opportunity and was frustrating to see how perfect it would've been as a 2 part movie.

    • @Rocketfoot7

The Hobbit had so much potential with the wonderful cast and story it had to work with... but I think where it fell through was the excessive reliance on CGI. That’s just my take on it 🤷🏽‍♀️

Jurassic Park set was astounding, considering how it was portrayed in the film. I liked it Jurassic Park 3, where they being chased in and out the cage tunnel..... it creeped me out. I think for many people that critisized it didn't live up to its predecessor, maybe they didn't see it in cinema? Those gruesome moment was well captured

There's abandoned train tracks running through the camp ground, River Country, Discovery Island, the beach where you used to be able to swim. I'm sure there's plenty of things like that at the other resorts as well.

I used to work at USH in production. I visited the Jurassic Park set many times. The second to last time I visited it I walked around and admired the work that was put into the set as my contract was close to ending. I went back that same week and the whole building had collapsed in itself.
In 2019 they tore it all down and cleaned up the entire section. Now it's a picnic area for employees to go and enjoy their lunches. It's a small lake and the push button waterfall runs in the background.

    • @laylayytofficial

Do you know if anything was inside the building when it collapsed and was taken down? And if you do know, do you know what they did with the things inside? I love the Jurassic Park franchise and it’s sad to hear of it being torn down.
