This video has OUTSTANDING description of everything. I purchased the light, after watching this.. I also purchased all that you put in the description. Followed your advice too the T. Outstanding job Sir... and thank you ALL of your details. Light and install went PERFECT !! A+
The light is super bright at night, shines a ton of light on the back of the Jeep. It doesn’t come with the button, I bought it off amazon and added it myself. The wiring is fairly straightforward and I think it’s a nice touch for my needs 👍🏻
Thanks for all the wiring details - will use this info for some of our rear lighting projects! I was going to run wire down along the foot wells to the battery. I like your idea of using the roll cage instead - much better idea!
I absolutely love the idea of connecting it to the battery with the button add on. Much better than closing and opening the tailgate every time the light goes out. After you run the wire down the A pillar, do you just tie the red and black wires to the positive and negative ends of the battery? I’ve never done this before and would love your input.
@@LostAdhem send me a message on my Instagram @kramer_junction and I can try to give you an idea. I run a Genesis dual battery system so it won’t be similar to a stock configuration, but I can give you an idea
Hello. Thanks for the video! I want to install one of these. There are various manufacturers (from overseas) and the one you have isn’t available. I’m wondering if they’re all the same since they look the same? Also, did you decide on keeping the remote? Myself, I’d ditch that in a heartbeat and go with just a switch like the one you installed. I don’t need - or want - those flashy light modes out on the trail while I’m cooking a meal at night… 😆
Thank you for making the video, i am curious, how has the 3M adhesive held out over the years in heat and cold? Have the wire clips ever unglued from the glass? Thank you
Hey great video!!! Currently waiting for my delivery to install this the way you did. I have a dumb question as Im a novice when it come to electrical stuff. In your description the online fuse is 14awg but the cable to the battery is 16awg. Does that make a difference and do you remember what you used? I know it’s been awhile. Thanks in advance
I honestly don’t remember what I used to be honest. I size wire according to the amp draw of the device. If you Google “12v wire size chart”, a great image of a chart from renogy should be near the top. That is what I go off of
Hello I was wondering if you have a wire diagram on how to wire the dome light in the front or to what did you tap it into not really good with electrical but want to learn !
I'm sorry I do not. Im not even sure how to do that. The light comes with a wiring diagram, but it's to tap in to the very rear most dome light. I do know all you'd have to do is find the positive that runs to your dome light then use the supplied wiring hardware and use that to tap in to.
It just depends how you have it wired. If the power source is attached to the hardtop then it won’t be an issue, otherwise you could easily add some type of connector
Mine is wired to a fuse block which is attached to the inside of my top. Ultimately there are wires that will tie the top to the engine compartment battery somehow
Yo could do either or. If you have a switch box then that’s great as long as you’re pleased with where the controls are. Mine runs to the fuse block on my Ursa Minor camper top then to a switch I put at the rear
I highly recommend it 👍🏻 My tailgate table was made by a Canadian manufacturer called EZOverland. I really love it. If you look back in my videos I made one about it a couple months back 👍🏻
I have this light installed on my JLU.. I absolutely love it! I have mine installed to where I can disconnect from the hardwire and connect to the plug adapter in the back if needed. I really like the idea of having the button installed.. may have to look into adding that to mine in the future.
MimutRice I don’t even have a 12V plug in the rear of my Jeep and I wanted to keep things super clean so I thought adding the button would be a great touch. I really like the little round push button I used, I used the same button in a previous project and the low profile is really nice and it’s easy to conceal
I just installed this today...it works like it's supposed to until I start my jeep. The dome lights go out, but the Brawlee stays on...Are there different mode settings? Any suggestions?
Hmm, I’m honestly not sure. Issues like this are why I completely disregarded the suggested install and wired straight to the battery. Did you wire it per the instructions?
The power draw is so low I’m honestly not worried about any parasitic loss. I don’t think it draws any power when it turned off, honestly not sure. But yeah, either way the draw is so minimal it’s not really a concern, especially since I run a dual battery setup 🤷♂️

Thanks for the help! I have a 2013 JKUR with a rear 12V plug. I used that as my constant power and it works well.
Awesome! That would be a great point to tie in to. My Jeep didn’t come with the 12v plug in the rear so I had to improvise haha
At the 10:00 minute mark was the last time he ever saw that 10mm socket.
Great video. You've inspired me to do the same install.
Haha those sockets are too expensive to lose 😂 I don’t know how many times I’ve been walking down the street and found a 10mm though 😂
Just finished my install after watching your video. It works great. Really appreciate the video.
Wow. I was just looking at this. And wondered how bright the light was. Thanks for answering that question. I didn't know they had a button

@@KramerJunction do you have a link to that button. I would like to do it that way also.
drillbittreed10 yeah absolutely there’s a link in the video description. It’s like $10 from amazon 👍🏻
Great tutorial and a clean install. Thanks.

Yeah, black to the negative post and the red to the positive with an inline fuse 👍🏻
Would you mind sharing a picture of your battery wire set up? I’m a little blank on how to attach them

Hey, how did you do that? I'm trying to have that versatility?
Awesome video! What fuse did you use from the battery to the your switch?
Just a simple inline blade fuse. There should be a link in the description for what I used 👍🏻
@@KramerJunctionwhat size fuse? 5amp?
Hi, what number fuse should I use on the inline fuse going to the battery for this install- 10, 20, 30? what's your recommendation?
Thanks
It’s such a low watt draw I believe I used a 5 amp fuse if I remember correctly

@@KramerJunction I have it straightened out...i tapped into the wrong wire. With wiring straight to the battery, doesn't it slowly drain your battery?
