Coach is very good at marketing these. Coachtopia is a very catchy name, and they had everyone excited about them ect. That being said I'd never get one of these. If I'm spending that kind of money I can def find something in retail, reserve or even those new Teri Napa bags at the outlets would fit me much better. I'm not for the Pleather, it overtime does not hold up. Even a second hand IMO is a better deal. I do like the straps though.
I completely agree, whom ever they got incharge of this endeavour, is an absolute genius. In all the worst ways of course. I get the goal is to make money, it just leaves such a miserable taste in my mouth 😮💨🤧
You can tell just by the picture online that the leather is off, if the prices were significantly lower then it would be worth it based on the cute designs
I watched a mini doc on the Coachtopia. Coach stated that they’re made in a way that if they break they are easily repaired. Idk, I’m not that impressed. I feel like the cutest one was the Ergo w rainbow trim. I’m not a rainbow guy but it was cute. I’m curious how the bonded leather will hold up.
Im curious to what makes these so much easier to repair than real leather bags. We see what bag restoration can do, so why not really double down on that? 🧐

After watching some of your older videos I realized the MK cooper pebbled leather backpack I ordered is not retain quality. It still hasn’t arrived but I’m slightly annoyed about the difference in quality your older videos discuss. Should I be concerned or is the quality still decent enough to keep the bag? I think with the MK mens collection, you’re a bit safer than the womens bags. So I think personally you’ll be good to go 😁👜 Hopefully you love it and the quality is just right 🖤
Bonded leather is no bueno, if it gets scratched. That’s it. That’s the top thin layer of “bonded leather” (leather paste mixed with adhesives and possibly PU mixed together) then the bag cannot be repaired because after the scratch I assume whatever fabric underneath the paste will be revealed and the value of the bag decreases immediately. 😢. Basically paste underneath a fabric. Like icing (Leather) on a gingerbread house (Fabric) if that makes sense.
You explained it perfectly! 😁🖤 Bonded leather should never be priced this high from a well known leatherhouse. As long as people stick to the real stuff, we should hopefully see some pullback on these bonded pieces. 😬

Heeeeeey Ray! 🖤 I want to be honest, so Ill start off with the quality. Quality of the bags has been in decline and with the beautiful bags I have from Michael Kors, I just know for a fact that they can do better. And some of the designs for me personally just arent as exciting. I still pop in every now and then to see what kind of sales they got since they always got something going on and occasionally I see something like. And thats no shade on anyone that loves MK still. The Astor was the last bag that had caught my attention, but I want more from the brand 🤧

Thanks for this video and almost bought a bag from Coachtopia and am so glad I did not. The concept sounds cool but their materials are so low quality yet have such a high price. Most of the designs are ugly to me too and I only saw one that I liked recently. However, after seeing your reviews I see how bad they are so will not ever be getting a Coachtopia product ever. They are not worth it. I will just get some outlet and regular Coach products but that is it.
Me too and the only one I kind of liked was the winky wavy bag. I was going to get one but the material looked off. I am glad I found this so I know how low quality the material is.
I think coachtopia should focus on bag straps and accessories made from recycled materials, eg: tote bag inserts, charms, straps, mini pouches.
I think so as well. That would not only be alot better for the consumer but long term, itll be a better business model for a leatherhouse. 👜
