With the default firmware and settings, you only have 10 minutes of live viewing before the camera automatically turns off. You can change the auto-off timer to 30m or change the firmware to an unofficial one to completely disable auto-off.

Yea this work
This feature of turning off after a certain time when live view is activated is to protect the camera from overheating. It is possible with different firmware to change this feature, but this will result in a shorter camera life. There are better cameras for vlogging, this is a still camera, although it can film.

Hi Sam, I have a D3300 and thinking of using it for recording talking head youtube videos. As i'll be filming alone, it's tricky to get the focus right. Do you think I could set it up like you've shown in this video, link it to my macbook, and then record that way? So my macbook acts like a self-view screen, and I can see if I'm in focus or not? Would I think be recording to my macbook and not the camera SD card? argggh I'm so confused!

Yeah! i want know too. Cuz Nikon d3200 camera length of time is not long.
Unfortunately it does cut down off at 30 minutes.

You can plug in usb a sound board and plug microphone I use focusrite soundboard
@ using with laptop, boya m1 sounds so crap! i m using my jabra evolve headphones with obs, its much better than boya

so the camera doesn't run out of battery, you can plug it into a wall outlet or usb port
