The sound has a spelling effect on the nerve system and the subconscious, possibly making this tune a good tool for healing people's mental problems. So, we need more of this kind of special musics.Congratulations Dizzy.
First heard the dulcimer listening to Dead Can Dance, and was instantly mystified... then, just today, one of my law school professors, who happens to play both bass and dulcimer in a heavy rock band, turned me on to one of your You Tube videos. Now, I'm sure I will listen to them for many years... INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL!
There's nothing on earth more beautiful than the sound of a hammered dulcimer.. unless it's two or more; I've missed my old Trapezoid albums, packed away since the death of my stereo turntable. (Can't complain too much; Bang & Olufsen made good turntables; mine lasted almost 34 years.) That said, I'm grateful to have found you and your beautiful playing here. Thanks for sharing the beauty of your playing, & for joining my very short list of hammered dulcimer heroes!
This was so beautiful. I love the way the natural element, the rocks and the wind amplified and carry the sound. Such wonderful musicians. It's very rare in 21st century to hear real music and instruments without auto-tune all over everything. God bless these women. ♥️
My husband and I had this song playing at our handfasting ceremony as we walked out of the forest together to stand and take our vows in front of our family. It was perfect!
They always look so serious when they're playing and then they smile at the end. Their movements have a quiet grace about them that is just enchanting to watch and listen to.
jamas pense que las mujeres nos udieran enseñar ese enorme talento tan bello y dulce las mas hermosas musas que alivio para mis oidos y para mi mente, mil gracias por esto que es hermoso DIZZI
This piece seems to have come out of a dream. It keeps amazing me every time. There's a kind of celtic spell we can feel cast on us by those little hammers. Thanks for your work, Dizzi, you are a true artist.
Incredible! I didn't even know the hammered dulcimer existed until I saw this video. Thanks for sharing your awesome music, I'll look for you on Rhapsody and will thumbs up your vids.
This has to be the MOST beautiful, hypnotic, calming, peaceful...the adjectives just don't do it justice. I'm just now checking out dulcimer music, and I find this. Dizz, this is awesome! I am hereby HOOKED.
Wow! I love that song! I would love to see you play at the Pennsylvania Renaissance Fair (USA) for the Celtic Fling its every June and they need some more variety. Thanks for the Beautiful music.
This one ils really amazing, I fell like a flow of magic, something that is far away, like a souvenir coming back, nostalgia. This is really greatly written, bravo.
I loved your composition. Realy sound medieval/renacense, but still modern! Congratlations for all this talent you 2 have! (Music is not jsut play the right notes its express all kinds of the emotions that a soul have. Tnx for give me this contact to my iner self)
I was accidentally playing this track in browser TH-cam -- while simultaneously in iTunes, playing Sudhir Jonathan Foust's "Solo Bamboo Flute" from his Touch of Grace CD and the two were haunting and uplifting and amazing! A journey! Ahhhhhhh......
I fell in love to this music! ITS WONDERFUL AND AMAZING! As from other world.. I'd like dancing in long dress in the forest. Can I buy some CD of this music? I want it!
That was quite beautiful. I find two Dulcimers playing together can be too loud and play against each other opposed to with each other. This piece they were very much in synch. Quite lovely.
YOUR MUSIC IS JUST BEAUTIFUL. I'VE LOVED EVERY SONG YOU'VE POSTED ON HERE. ESPECIALLY AS A DUET, YOU GET AN EVEN FULLER MORE BEAUTIFUL SOUND. KEEP UP THE AWESOME WORK!
not only "beautiful women", but a man here in Calgary named Tomko Lamb. He has a Ham/dul that his grandfather played. He busks here, and also has a couple of c.d.'s. He composes original, beautiful compositions. Type his name on youtube, and a couple of hits will come up.
Dizzy, Emily. What a wonderful music do you play. Is a shame we didn´t about your work when you come to Mexico City. I hope you´ll come again, i will follow the news in your web site

It reminds me of "Moonlight Sonata" somewhat, but in a good way. These videos are very enchanting.
