It was part of one of my favorite standard decks. Deepfiends+fevered visions+ discard zombies. Good times. I loved the look of defeat on my opponents as they had 8 cards in hand. Then Saheli combo ruined the format..
Ooh, thanks for drafting this cube. I tried the same kind of UR deck first time and went 1-2. After that I’ve gone 3-0 twice by drafting as many planeswalkers as I could support with a bunch of creatures and removal. I completely agree that it’s tempting to fill your deck with 4-drop and 5-drop bombs, but a curve is really important. Your VC videos really helped with my card evaluation and creating a functional multicolor manabase.
Frank Lepore's CubeCobra list uses the OG art; he made a distinct effort to use Innistrad art/printings wherever possible. So likely just a mistake with the MTGO import.
Seeing the fevered visions really sent me back to your draft at pro tour shadows. Really sweet, and one of the coolest standard decks too. Kind of miss that old pro tour format
Excited to see you draft this. I haven't trophied yet but I came agonizingly close twice with WG Human/Angels and WU Spirits, losing two game 3's to mana screw
Would be interesting to see one of the single-elims where your server bumrushes a queue with one of these unfamiliar cubes. A field where everyone is competent--but you also just get to be done if you trainwreck--seems like a good way to try out these niche cubes.
I had a boomer moment just now - Desecration Demon is the first old card I can remember LSV having to remind us what it did where I played it myself back in the day...
One of my fondest draft memories is from INN/DA draft where I pulled of yhe ultimate zombie deck with a Zombie Apocalypse, double rare b mill zombie and no non-zombie creatures. I had that thing sleeved up for the longest time and I'm kinda sad now that I ever unsleeved it
Hey fevered visions really wanna try that again in the new shadows remastered on arena. Glad you took it reminding me of MTG Shadows Pro Tour when you got passed 3
To be fair (and unfortunately), there’s not any kind of reminder text on the card on MTGO, so it is kind of hidden if you don’t already know it. I first picked that card last night. 😁
Having watched deck construction, but not yet seen the games, I wouldn't be surprised if Manor Gargoyle comes in a lot. There are a fair number of decks that it just shuts down.
A little bit surprised you didn't even mention Stromkirk Noble. I know you're trying to blank some of the creature interaction, but that guy is extremely capable of just soloing players in limited, especially when backed up by your own removal. It would also be your only turn 1 play.
LSV putting Fevered Visions, Geistflame Reservoir, Stensia Uprising, and Desperate Ravings in his deck: “unlike me, the opponent is putting too many ‘do nothing’ cards like Divination into their deck’” 😛
All those cards support the "spells" theme, where as the opponent played those cards together with equipment and token cards so there was no apparent synergy. He did say that maybe the cards just aligned unfortunate for the opponent since he didn't see his whole deck yet. I don't think these situations are remotely comparable so your comment doesn't make any sense.
Stensia Uprising also makes a token every turn starting with the first. I’ve seen it go pretty late, so it was interesting seeing LSV value it highly - and it was a good card in his deck!
This draft section kinda solidified the problem I've had with most formats where you got the "spells"-archetype. It always feels like there are a million payoffs for noncreature spells but not enough of those noncreature spells. Do people really enjoy the kind of format where you have to first pick some random bounce spells and cantrips? It feels so backwards to me. It feels like they always got the spells vs payoffs at a 1:1 ratio when it should be more like 4:1, I feel.
Fitting Frank Lepore made this cube because all I can think of when I hear his name is his Innistrad era videos casting Flinthoof Board alongside Rakdos Cackler where he would make the "Cackler? I hardly knew her!" joke everytime he cast it and say "pig pig pig pig pig pig pig" when he casted the boar with haste. Also losing to Gut Shot off the top.
I try to play every special cube when it occurs on MTGO and this has to be one of the worst I played so far. While there are many sweet cards they are too expensive and playing anything besides ur spells and aggro is wrong decision.
I love his giggling satisfaction at running back the burn your planeswalker, ping your creature at 1:00:22
HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS!!
There's something really fun about watching you navigate a new cube without having looked at the card list.
Fevered visions is such a cool card.

Snuck in the "horrible" pun at the end there, love it! =) Also Innistrad had always had a very cool vibe, this cube included.
How did they put sulfur falls in this cube, but not use the original ISD art of it?
Frank Lepore's CubeCobra list uses the OG art; he made a distinct effort to use Innistrad art/printings wherever possible. So likely just a mistake with the MTGO import.
old one is older
New art objectively better in my opinion 😊
@mtgcubetube I guess. I'm saying more that one is art from Innistrad, while the other is Dominaria.
@@JalebJay yeah I got that. I just wanted to make an "objectively"/"in my opinion" joke.
I always love seeing new cubes drafted by you ❤

wow, putting from the catacombs in this cube feels wild, that's a A-tier vintage cube card
More of this content! This format is awesome!
Excited to see you draft this. I haven't trophied yet but I came agonizingly close twice with WG Human/Angels and WU Spirits, losing two game 3's to mana screw
P1P2: ok LSV I like your comments and all that but please pick the FV, there’s only 10 seconds left.

The should've used the Dark Ascension art of Divination for this cube. My favorite interpretation of it.
That line in the last game was nuts. I didn’t see the win at first
That From the Catacombs wheeling was a massive sin. I'm guessing the people at the table just didnt care to read initiative?
To be fair (and unfortunately), there’s not any kind of reminder text on the card on MTGO, so it is kind of hidden if you don’t already know it. I first picked that card last night. 😁
“Horror cube”
YOU OPENED THE BOX. WE CAME.
Thank you for this gem
Thank you for these great videos!!

1 draft of LSV a day keeps the bad mood at bay!
Oh, man, that double fevered visions deck at PT SOI….
here for my daily dose of LSV

Something is cursed about this thumbnail. I can't put my finger on it. But I also cannot look away.
I watched frank lepore play this on his channel, he was the one to make it
Did LSV draft 3 fevered visions in paper draft?
chesties for my besties haha

He could have drafted an Insane U/B zombie pile

I agree in my limited experience with this cube. It feels like the spells are mostly premium but there are tons of payoffs getting passed around.
Fitting Frank Lepore made this cube because all I can think of when I hear his name is his Innistrad era videos casting Flinthoof Board alongside Rakdos Cackler where he would make the "Cackler? Hello darkness my old friend…. 😂
Have some memories, nightmares rather, about fevered visions there LSV? 😅
The master
i like this theme
Is LSV a werewolf?
soooo much direeect damaggggeeeeee
match 1 opponent should learn to mulligan
Your crazy for not taking the mana form hellkite 🤦♂️🤷♂️🤣
power level in this iteration of the vintage cube feels really low
They should put power into a normal cube to see what happens i assume it just becomes a game of jackpot in draft phase
Am I alone in thinking this cube is awful?
I try to play every special cube when it occurs on MTGO and this has to be one of the worst I played so far. While there are many sweet cards they are too expensive and playing anything besides ur spells and aggro is wrong decision.
"That wasn't 'Horror'ible" -- okay, I'm unsubscribing
this looks like 720 quality
YES PLEASE
