It's incredible see the potato variety in PERU , there is a potato type for french fries, another type for mash potato , another and another for each dish depending the need of taste, consistency and color the dish require.
Here in Brazil we can only find 2 types of potato... I don't understand why these other types of potato aren't sold everywhere here in South America as we are so near Peru.

I mean for you guys in Brazil your staple foods are rice and beans ( arroz e feijao ) while for us ( in Peru ) it is rice and potatoes ( and we quite often use the white corn as well ). Here in Brazil we don't eat only rice and beans, I think cassava is even more used , as it not only goes alongside rice+beans, we also make breads (similar to Chipas), cakes, porridge, tapioca (similar to tortillas), puré , god knows what more. Cassava here was the staple indigenous food, while potatoes where the staple indigenous food in Peru. One day I will visit Peru and eat those potatoes and Cuy meat😋

The truth is outside of Miraflores most of the food in Peru is filthy. (comida sucia) just like the peoole who live here. I know. I live here. Going back to the states in one month. Mi querido USA.

Been to Peru last year and the people there are so amazingly friendly! Everyone was always willing to help me in anything and even more when they found out I was a tourist. Also, the food is probably the best i ever had, so delicious!! I will definitely go back for sure!

The breakfast in Peru is delicious, and nutritious! My favorite is tacu tacu with an egg, a French bread roll, and maracuya juice. It is great! Pan Frances con palta, another favorite. And the occasional weekend Peruvian tamal, with the Peruvian sauce, salsa criolla, and Chanchamayo coffee, also great! 😊
La lucha is really good, it was one of the last places i went with my mom before she passed away, i remember the fries were the thing that we liked the most

The room and bathroom after the laundry and kitchen are used for the maid (for a employee) The new constructions are smaller, but almost all the 3 bedrooms apartments has those additional room and bathroom. Specially in the residencial zones, like Miraflores.

If you travel to Lima, go ONLY starting at the last week of May to the first week of September. That is winter in Lima and ALL other times of the year it is one of the most humid warm places in the world and you will sweat like crazy! You can still wear shorts and a tank top in the winter in Lima. It does not get cold.
Being an american who lives here. My advice is stay away from this filthy country. I have stories you would never believe. Spend your vacation money elsewhere.

Yessss, for example, we use yellow potato for causa or to smash them; white or purple potato for salads; cóctel potato for snacks; etc...
