I've finished the 1/2 inch conversion following your guide and it's working amazingly. It will be very handy on the clutch job I will need to do in my car.
Good to hear! I am very happy you are enjoying it! Did you use a brass hushing or a steel one?
@@BrokeLifeEU I used a brass one. Hope it lasts!
@sandromartins20 My B3 PDSSAP has had a brass bushing for over a year now and has had no issues. I do have the steel bushing in my C3 and I guess we will see which one stands the test of time. But so far so good!
@@BrokeLifeEU That's good to know. Thank you very much!
@@sandromartins20 You are welcome! I hope you finished your clutch job and the tool was useful!
Nice, I think that the reduced diameter of anvil wings doesn't help in terms of untightening force.
My thoughts exactly!
Cool! Definitely a stubby, that thing is probably shorter than a Dewalt 923
It would be even cooler if the anvil is longer at the point whwre the hammer hits it as it will have more torque. Then it will both look good and have proper power.
@@BrokeLifeEU that's probably the main reason why it has less torque
It weighs less, so the force it creates is smaller.
The Milwaukee 42-06-0025 might be an option? but has some weird 17mm body diameter which I couldnt find an bushing for.
Also difficult choice, stubby compact or more powerful 1/2. if only my money would say yes to both
This might be interesting to look in to! But it will cost as much as the tool 😂😂😂
I think the 3/8 will generally be weaker then the 1/2 just because of the anvil weight itself, if you could finde one at the 1/2 weight thatd be great but as you know its already difficult finding 3/8 anvils@@BrokeLifeEU
Correct! 3/8" are very difficult to deal with! Unfortunately I needed about two months to find a 3/8" anvil and confirm measurements.
I will wait till you find and anvil to convert the 12v 1/2 impact to 3/8 ,,, please find a plug n play solution,
Awesome videos and thank you
You are welcome! I will try my best!
I have a problem with the 1/2 inch conversion. I haven't done the conversion yet because the 16 mm anvil is 6.0 mm thick at the base. I currently have about 1.00 mm play in the longitudinal direction (with the original anvil 5.0 mm). When I fit the new anvil, the play will be gone. I think that it is not good if the gearbox has no play...
Yes, not good for the gesrbox if there is o play! Try and grind it down by 1mm it turns out that they send different anvils, some are a straight swap and some need to be ground down a bit.
Yes, they are very different. I have three of them in thicknesses from 5.7 to 6.0 mm. The one with 6 mm would be my favorite, as it is the best processed. I have to have 1 mm removed on a lathe. I still have a few 18 mm anvils lying around here. I could almost have bought a Bosch Professional for the money, but where's the fun in that... lol
@w.b.7819 Unfortunately the quality was good before I posted the links to their shops on aliexpress. Not it does look like they are after quantity and quality is the last thing on their minds. That is a shame!
I have to say that they are from different dealers...
Sorry to hear. I think you can get away witi by using just a grinding wheel and not a full on metal lathe.
I think the best anvil would be the one from the PPDSSA 12 A1.
That is a 1/2" and unfortunately not sold separately.
I know. I already called Grizzly Tool (I'm from Germany) and got a rejection but I'll try again. This anvil would be the best option. Looks good and the length would fit perfectly. Only the bushing would have to be replaced. However, the loosening force would probably be less than with the 3/8 anvil, as you have less mass here too.
And a saw a video how to drill the hole with a concrete bit...
I gave it a go but not a chance against the very hardened steel of the anvil.
@@BrokeLifeEU that guy sharpen the bit with an angle grinder and a diamond disc, I will try it also. ErCanEverything is the name of the channel.
That video and another one. I gave it my best shot but it seems like it may be a genuine DeWalt anvil or some vary hard metals so I could not do it. And even with a stationary drill it was not possible. So I had to beg someone with a lathe to get it done.
The reduced weight of the anvil it makes it a bit weaker...
That and I think the fact that it is shorter where the hammer hits it.
is there a video how to change ball bearing on rotor..
I don't have such a video. Are you having problems with that bearing?
why not a 2 in 1 anvil? the one with 1/4 hole
I have a video oh how to do that. I have linked it in the description of this one. However some people requested a 3/8“ conversion. Hence why this video exists.
what name of that grease
It is a lithium high temp grease.
Już dawno zrobiona modyfikacja , wszystkie wersje ten kanał robil inni ściągają nawet nie wspominając o tym skąd to wzięli th-cam.com/video/UutFwdPRLi8/w-d-xo.html
I am sorry you feel that way, however all that you see in the video has been researched by myself. I can even show proof in the form of messages with the seller in which I enquire about measurements. I hope that will put this to rest. I am not denying you did it first. To the best of my knowledge that indeed is the case. Congratulations on that! It is a good video and a good watch! Thank you for your time and all the best!
